In a globalist, politically correct system of government, where any minority is given preferential status over the majority, especially a Christian majority, some things just have to change. That is the case with having a school mascot and nickname of Crusaders.
How could a Christian school expect to get away with a mascot that is not Sharia compliant in the first place?
The school, Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin has announced they will drop their old name, but havent yet determined.
The Crusades were so long ago, and with the increasing pressure to accommodate Islam in all aspects of American society, they might as well go ahead and get it over with. Besides, what relevance could a fight by Christians against a Muslim jihad sweeping across their continent possibly have in todays world?

The most 'correct' book has had over 3000 changes made to it.
Which 'version' was the BoM in GERMAN made from?
The Spanish one?
The French, Chinese, Japanese???

The "Caractors" are the only tangible evidence in existence related to Smith's story.
No gold plates, no brass plates, no peep stones, no Urim and Thummim...
only these "Caractors," not a single one of which is in the purported languages.
Smith's translation of the Caractors. According to Martin Harris (Joseph Smith - History, 1:64), "I went to the city of New York, and presented the characters which had been translated, with the translation thereof, to Professor Charles Anthon, a gentleman celebrated for his literary attainments. Professor Anthon stated that the translation was correct, more so than any he had before seen translated from the Egyptian. I then showed him those which were not yet translated,* and he said they were Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic; and he said they were true characters."
Speak right up now in all truthfulness. Isn't it revealing how Smith started out making a stab at creating believable "caractors" but quckly gave up and produced nothing but squiggles, ending up wih a series of nothing more than crude little scribbles? Yet Professor Anthon supposedly translated them!
*Harris must have had two or three pieces of paper with himone with characters and a translation of them (on the same paper or a separate one) and one with untranslated charactersquite likely the "Caractors." Some Mormon "scholars" have gone out on a limb, sawed it off, and knocked themselves out trying to translate from these true Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic characters a segment that would correspond with a verse from 1 Nephi.
Modern-day experts in Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic. In 1829, any knowledge of these languages possessed by U.S. scholars would have been rudimentary at best. Expertise in them has vastly improved since then. So go ahead, do it. Get any modern expert in these languages to identify which of these "Caractors" are Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac and Arabic. Better still, accept the claim of Mormon apologists that Anthon did indeed so testify and that his appraisal of the Caractors was correct. (Op. cit, pp. 73-75)
Save your money! Samples of Assyriac/Aramaic and Arabic writing:
What say you? Which of Smith's "Caractors" resemble the Assyriac and Arabic ones? No need to pay experts for their analysis. A child could accurately check this out. These writing systems have remained constant for well over 3000 years.

Didn’t Billy Graham call his preaching tours “Crusades”? I’m pretty sure he did— or that’s how others referred to them.

Ah yes!! The error of Catholicism! The great wonder, the woman that appeared in heaven is NOT Mary. Its the nation of Israel. Its the nation of Israel that birthed Christ. It is the Nation of Israel that has a crown of twelve stars, the twelve tribes. It is the remnant of the nation of Israel that will flea into the wilderness to be protected by God for the last half of the tribulation. The twisting of that verse by the RCC to justify its pagan belief of a queen of heaven is from Satan not from God.

>> Why would it be strange for God to honor this Virgin of Israel in any way He sees fit commensurate with her service ?<<
Mary is no different than any other good mother in her devotion to her children. The RCC can make stuff up but it doesnt comport to the teaching of scripture. Paul said that anyone bringing a teaching other than what they taught it was to be considered another gospel and thus to be considered accursed. The teaching of the RCC is not taught by the apostles and thus is to be considered accursed.

No, because I didn’t make any claim.
If you expect to be believed, you need to back it up.
Otherwise, it’s nothing more than opinion.

If you claim otherwise you do greatly err, and hold not the truth.

Mary is no different than any other good mother in her devotion to her children. Patently false; the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob chose her for the most holy service by any woman in eternity. The adversary accuses her daily.
And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

Mary was a fallible human being, just like the rest of us.
She sinned and needed a savior, just like the rest of us, and by HER OWN admission.
Jesus was tempted in every way, just as we are. He knows what it is like to be human because He was born one and raised as one with fallible human parents.
There’s simply no way He could identify us if he had perfect parents because that is not the reality of our situation.
He can’t show us how top overcome if He didn’t have to overcome it Himself.
The teaching that Mary was sinless and somehow more special than anyone else because she gave birth to Jesus is poppycock.
Jesus Himself said that there was none born of women greater than John the Baptist. Now if Jesus Himself puts John at the greatest, what’s the Catholic church trying to so by claiming that Mary was? Did Jesus lie? Was He wrong that the RCC feels the need to correct Him?

Where did you ever get that? It certainly isnt from scripture. Catholics have been duped. Their devotion to Mary has no basis in scripture but comes from pagan practices. The queen of heaven concept is completely pagan and was never sanctioned in scripture.

Where did you ever get that?
- And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
- Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
- This is the word which the Lord hath spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee. Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.
- To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
- And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
- But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
- And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

ROFLOL!!! Thats one creative distortion of scripture for sure! It totally does NOT work however. The RCC pagan concept of the queen of heaven will cause its followers some real sorrow one day.

- For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
