Televangelist Joel Osteen says homosexuality is a sin but he doesn't "preach" about it and isn't against "anybody" who is gay.
"I believe that scripture says that it's a sin but I always follow up by saying you know what, we're not against anybody," he added.
"There's a lot of things, Larry, and I don't understand — so I just don't want to preach on it, preach about it," Osteen replied.

In my reading of The Word I found that homosexuality was described as ‘an abomination before God’. While not specifically calling it a sin in that passage, it seems pretty clear that God didn’t intend for ‘it’ to happen. If He had procreation would have been made possible via the act.
So, just to be safe, I’m going to believe that it is a sin. Don’t you know He sits in Heaven and just shakes His head at the actions of some. Thinking, “I thought I made it pretty clear how things are supposed to work...”
In whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
And yet there are those here who post his worthless devotionals and ask for no confrontations. He is a false teacher, period.
If he believes it’s a sin then he must also acknowledge that engaging in the behavior without repentence will consign someone to hell. That’s what the bible says. Thus, keeping quite about it only benefits Joel (financially) all the expense of those he purports to love. His decision is based purely on self-interest.
Reminds me of Billy Graham taking a pass on Bubba”s infidelity...sad.

We don’t know what causes pedophilia, necrophilia, or whatever attracts men to sheep, but none of the above is going to result in a human birth.
Homosexuality is an inversion of the miracle of reproduction, and a subversion of the nuclear family. Mom’s can’t do what dad’s are supposed to do, and vice versa. You can argue all day about pinch hitting in those roles, but at the end of the day, my daughter isn’t blocking out time on her calendar to go bra shopping with Pop.
The problem we have now with this issue is that even proposing any sort of scientific inquiry as to what DOES cause homosexuality is now out of the question. Same is true with pedophilia as well, because if the research suggests any sort of link between the two and the lavender mafia will go after your family.
It’s why Larry’s question is unfair.
Anybody caught trying to actually use science to explain homosexuality is going to meet with, at the very least, no funding, and at most, death threats.
Gee... MY Bible says it is an ABOMINATION unto GOD, Joel. Funny that I know what GOD says about it and you seem not to.

Because you’re giving power to the sin and letting it control your life by just “being annoyed.”
I don’t follow Joel too much, but what I think he’s saying is not to elevate the sins of a person or persons above other people’s sins, which is all people. That doesn’t mean of course that sin should be promoted as being acceptable.
Gay Marriage for example is now being widely promoted by many in society as being acceptable, so it should be confronted, not accepted.
People's views on homosexuality often center on compassion for the person suffering the perversion.
However, millions of women and children suffer from the lack of male leadership; that's where the attention should be focused.

“Thou shalt not murder,” but you know Larry, I just don’t understand murder and so I just refuse to preach on it because I don’t want murderers in my congregation to feel bad, so I simply refuse to go there.
The word translated as ‘abomination’ should be interpreted as ‘clear and present danger.’
