In my reading of The Word I found that homosexuality was described as ‘an abomination before God’. While not specifically calling it a sin in that passage, it seems pretty clear that God didn’t intend for ‘it’ to happen. If He had procreation would have been made possible via the act.
So, just to be safe, I’m going to believe that it is a sin. Don’t you know He sits in Heaven and just shakes His head at the actions of some. Thinking, “I thought I made it pretty clear how things are supposed to work...”
The word translated as ‘abomination’ should be interpreted as ‘clear and present danger.’
The abomination means that it is not just a sin but a great sin that is deceiving in nature and can be easily spread. It is a thing to be abhorred and shunned. For a preacher, priest or rabbi to not preach about the sin of homosexuality is a stain on their soul. They will be called into account for this dereliction.
