POPE Francis has been embroiled in a scandal after footage emerged today appearing to show him giving a man an exorcism in St Peter's Square.
The astonishing incident between the Pontiff and the person in a wheelchair, took place immediately after Pentecostal mass on Sunday May 19.
The video shows how a priest leans across the boy or young man to tell Francis something, at which point the Popes expression becomes more serious.

The Pontiff then grips the top of the subjects head firmly and is seen pushing him down into his wheelchair.
As this is happening Francis recites an intense prayer, and the boys mouth drops wide open and he exhales sharply.
Franciss usual smile then returns and he continues with the traditional and more gentle Sunday greetings for sick or disabled visitors to St Peters.
La Repubblica newspaper this morning quoted an exorcism expert has saying: It was a prayer of liberation from evil or even a real exorcism.
The leading Roman exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth, said: Francis is also the Bishop of Rome and like all bishops hes an exorcist.
The new Pope has made it quite clear since his election that he believes the Devil, whom refers to as the Enemy and The Prince of this World is a real force that needs to be fought constantly.....

It sounds like a simple laying-on of hands, or prayer for healing. An exorcism is a complex ritual that isn't done on the spot or without a thorough evaluation of the person to be exorcised.Exactly! And that thorough evaluation can take months, even years.
Well, after all, "Sin makes you (i.e., the MSM) stupid."
Interesting.
Laying on of hands for healing is now considered strange.
I’m going to email il Papa to give him a high five next time instead....
The great thing about this is that like a true pope, Francis doesn’t trim his actions or words based on human respect or the opinion of the world. He does and says what he perceives the Lord to be telling him to do or say. I admire this because in some situations I continue to struggle with human respect.
We should all remember this..
Behold the Cross of the Lord!
Flee, hostile powers!
The Lion of the Tribe of Judah,
The Root of Jesse, has conquered, Alleluia.
If you look at the video you can see that Pope Francis places his hands on the young man's head and prays inaudibly, and the young man gasps and exhales hard about 4 times. The whole thing takes about 6 seconds. That's it. Then Francis goes on greeting and blessing other people in the crowd, calling -zero- attention to himself or to the young man.
Nothing bizarre about it: every baptism in fact includes an exorcism. If you're Catholic, you not only got this exorcism when you were baptized (which, in effect, every Christian does), but you renew it every time you repeat your Baptismal promises, e.g. at Easter.
Thank God for the "normal Christianity" of Pope Francis.
Somebody explain the "strangeness" of AP, news.yahoo, and the (U.K.) Sun.
Now we have the fascist propaganda machine clearly stating they believe Satan is equal to Jesus Christ.
A queer "Bishop" preaching that demonic possession is a “spiritual gift” and now this trash about it being “strange” for the Pope to publicly exorcise Satanic spirits when they possess someone.
People who have sold their souls to Satan are now publicly defending him rather than pretending they don't believe in him. That's a bold new approach for the Satan loving crowd.
It's no wonder, though. The vast majority of those who call themselves Christians believe in "going along to get along" and arguing with one another rather than arguing with Satan's troops.
Well, that’s a very literal translation - doesn’t rhyme or scan like the original. I’ll use it for awhile myself instead of my recess appointment, which was like 5 years ago and has probably expired by operation of law :-)
Today has been a strange news day, hasn’t it?
A lady (I think she was in Portugal, where St. Anthony was born, although Padua claims him now) was much troubled with evil spiritual forces that tormented her and kept her awake at night. Exhausted as she walked along the road, she fell asleep by a shrine to St. Anthony. The saint himself appeared to her in a dream or vision, and gave her a piece of paper which he told her to keep with her. When she woke, she found a piece of paper with these words written on it at her feet. She did as instructed and was no more troubled -- although some versions of the story say that her Bishop asked to borrow it, and her troubles started up again, so she went and got it back . . .
The look on that poor man’s face. Something is not right.
