Surprise, surprise; heretic Rob Bell supporting homosexual “marriage”
“I am for love, whether it’s a man and woman, a woman and a woman, a man and a man.....a man and five women, a man and a sheep, and man and a pickup truck......”
He just lost the name “CHRISTIAN”!! What a FREAK SHOW our country has become...>FREAKS!
So, a “pastor” is saying we need to affirm people in their sin.
There’s a special judgement awaiting those who lead the sheep to their deaths.
what an absolute shame - his early stuff was promising - but this last book pooped the mattress
“I think this is the world we are living in and we need to affirm people wherever they are.””.................
So, he is a “Christian pastor” and he wants to affirm people in their sinfulness???? He is very very confused.
It’s quite lovely for our politically correct times that he is for “marriage equality”, but his personal view is totally irrelevant to the Bible or to what Christians should do, support, or believe. Pretending that gay “marriage” is real marriage will not change reality, nor will it change God’s word. I am surprised that someone claiming to be a pastor would openly advocate that Christians ignore scripture.
It really is too bad that Bell wasn’t around at the time of Jesus so he could have put Him straight before His new religion took hold.
Then, Bell can NOT lay claim to being “Christian.” These passages make the issue rather clear:
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
1 Timothy 1:8-10
Romans 1:18-32
I am not a Christian but I’m starting to lean that way.
The Bible has been around for a long, long time and it has obviously helped many people. Who am I to say it’s wrong? One thing I do understand is this - The Bible doesn’t care what’s popular and what isn’t. If something is wrong today it will still be wrong tomorrow. It doesn’t matter how anyone feels about it. To wake up one day and decide that on a particular issue we should discount everything that’s been taught is to call into question the entire teaching.
Seems he stopped himself before finishing his sentence. “I think the ship has sailed and I think the church needs — “ Sounds to me as if he was about to say the magic words of all progressives - “to get with the times.” So his Bible is written on an Etch-a-Sketch?
” I think the ship has sailed and I think the church needs”
Only a idiot says something like that. The only ship that has sailed is the one that God put in the water at the beginning of time.
Anything else is folly and foolishness.
Controversial author and former pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville came out in support of marriage equality
No accuracy in reporting anymore!
I doubt seriously he came out for marriage equality. He can out for homosexuals to marry. Not for 2 men and one women or 3 women and one man or brothers and sisters or fathers and daughters and on and on. Be accurate. Speak honestly!
who??
And the highest, most primary love is the love of God, who said "If you love me you will keep my commandments." Thus, there can be no love apart from righteousness, justice and holiness. Rob Bell has no idea what biblical, agape love is and I pray the Lord see fit to regenerate him, fill him with the Holy Spirit and bring him to a true, saving faith in Jesus Christ.
The church needs to what? ignore parts of God’s word and join in loving the sin?
idiot
There are wolves among the sheep. Not just in “liberal” denominations and parishes, either. A Southern Baptist pastor that I know quietly campaigns for gay rights and a boatload of other liberal social causes. His reasons? “The church has to stay relevant to survive” and “love, sweet love, etc. ad nauseum.” (More likely it is because his son is a flaming homo, but he has yet to admit that publically.) Even many who are now running true will be sorely tempted to kiss the pink ring in the near future when their 501.3(C) status becomes conditional upon their stance on this issue.
Are Robbie and Ted Haggard still an “item”.
Hadn’t heard of him before. Based on Wiki, he sounds like someone who wants to tickle peoples’ ears rather than proclaim the truth about God.
“An electrifying, unconventional pastor whom Time magazine calls a singular rock star in the church world, Rob Bell is the most vibrant, central religious leader of the millennial generation.” - From an Amazon description of one of his books.
Guess it isn’t a surprise that he’d come out for homosexuality...
As far as I am concerned, you don’t have to agree with same-sex marriage. If the rest of the nation does it, well, you can decide not to do it in your own church.
