Ping!
He looks like Pope George to me.
“Sunday night we were out for a walk and he pulled me over. He took me by the hand and said, ‘I want you to pray for me. Im a little nervous right now.’”
It’s almost like he knew he’d become Pope.
Well, now Pope Francis doesn’t have to cook or take the bus to work. :)
Viva il Papa!
This is a man who lives the life of Jesus.
Simple and with a humble spirit.
They couldn’t find a better man to lead the church. Someone who is not puffed up with pride and a lust for power and personal gain is hard to find in this world.
They found him in this conclave in the person of Francis!
I was struck by his humility and quiet strength. All of my concerns are gone.
No more siestas for him....
I just hope that he’s not a socialist, and that he does not promote one world government.
All well and good lets see what he does with his errant Jesuit brothers of the cloth as in Georgetown or Notre Dame. I’m not too impressed with his approaches dealing with the Argentine government on the moral issues. Bus rides to work and home cooking et all. When I’ve talked to missionaries while fund raising here promoting the faith smack dab in the middle of moslemland and their people are being murdered and the fund raiser (priest) was summarialy dissmissive of moslem activity which amazed and dumbfounded me .I think we have a problem. Worse yet I see this from other sources on the latin side. I envy you being able to participate in rituals and services relatively unchanged since St Pauls time .If I had a an opportiinity to particpate in them I’d be there. Actually I held out hope your guy would make it.
Lets seen what Francis I does with the corruption in the secretariat. If he appoints Ben the 16th to run it watch heads roll. I am happy they took the papacy it out of europe and particularly Italy. I’m weary of the Borgia legacy.

I have never believed in Popes much but maybe they will have a real man of God in the Vatican now, that is my feeling.
