They won't get a regular congregation willing to waste time listeneing to clowns tout the beauty of atheism. It sounds like one of those newsman's dreams such as liberel rallies that feature 2 people showing up and making the evening news.
In any church of atheism, unless you supply free beer, to get two people you will need a mirror.

We gather together in order to pay homage to nobody.
It's important.

The atheists I know will just sleep in and ‘say’ that they went to the Sunday Assembly.

Since Atheism is a religion, it’s time we get it out of our schools and government.

It’s just proving that atheist/secular humanism is a RELIGION.
The very same RELIGION our own government has now sanctioned as the official state religion , so much for separation of church and state .

I find it amusing how militant atheists constantly criticize Christians, yet somehow feel they must copy for their own ends Christian holidays, services, music, etc...

So Atheists can worship no religion, or worship Satan? Or just maybe for the money.
Today's atheism is a religion. Otherwise they would shut up and not bother anybody.

I don’t know why they needed a separate “church.” Half of the so-called religions today are little more than social feel-good clubs anyway.

Aren’t the words atheist and church and oxymoron?
I know, they say it’s a godless congregation........then why do they call it a church?
I wonder what the speaker speaks about?
What readings are read?
What songs are sung?
There’s a difference here. Christian churches would have a reading from the Bible, hymns and the pastor or minister would address the congregation on a topic of faith.

Ah yes, the anti Religion religion. I can’t wait for the devout atheists to take the sacrilegious atheists to court for violating the Constitution. I wonder where the ACLU would weigh in on that battle?

A “celebration of life”? You mean a celebration of random, purposeless, meaningless chance? Do they cheer when they roll dice, too ... no matter how the dice turn up?
