QUESTION: Wat If ... God Sent A Plague Of Flys And The United States Didn't Notice

Here in eastern central Mississippi, the common house fly is the talk of the community.
Fly paper is getting hard to buy, and plastic zip-lock bags full of water tacked to trees close to the doors of the houses, are seen everywhere.
Maybe it's the wet season and the temperatures above freezing that have allowed the woods to bloom with house flies, because they're everywhere.

Or maybe it's the scarceness of birds and bats, that consume the flies.
Honey bees aren't as prevalent in the woods as they use to be, and black hornets are just as rare.
Something is happening.

Could it be that there is more to it than just nature?
Take a look at this:

the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.

And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said,
Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.

And Moses said ,
It is not meet so to do;
for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God:
lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes,
and will they not stone us?
We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God,
as he shall command us.

And Pharaoh said,
I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness;
only ye shall not go very far away:
intreat for me.

And Moses said,
Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD
that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow:
but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.

And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

And the LORD did according to the word of Moses;
and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people;
there remained not one.
And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also,
neither would he let the people go. "

Its pretty obvious that God has sent a plague of liberals and most of the citizens of the USA didn’t notice.

I think he just overlooked the dropped ‘ts’ in Watts. Some Electrical Engineers just get zapped more frequently than the general populace and get used to losing concentration now and again.

I’m sorry, but read the text quoted. If God sends a plague, He warns first, usually more than once.

So it’s quite doubtful that an unusual number of flies in a single region constitutes a deliberate plague.

Question, if it is a deliberate plague, why did God choose that neck of the woods and not San Francisco or Chicago?

If something doesn’t make sense, it’s because it’s senseless.

I'm just wondering how large this bloom of flies is.
How many areas are having the same problem?

Well no place that still has freezing temps has a problem, obviously, because it’s to cold for maggots to hatch right now.

I’m in Oregon and I can attest that there are no houseflies here, although there will be by April.

Perhaps you just have had enough early warming to allow an early hatching and if the winter was mild than a larger percentage than usual of the egss survived winter.

Birds don’t migrate based on temperature, so an early hatch would have fewer predators and make for an unseemly annoyance.

I don’t read books predicting end times (except for the original). Even the angels don’t know, so I’m pretty sure human authors don’t.

Besides which, it’s not like the end times can be delayed or averted, now can they? So what exactly are believers supposed to do differently once armed with this secret arcane information???

I haven’t noticed any more than usual here in the Florida Panhandle. Actually I don’t think I have seen any recently.

When I lived in Western Kansas there were not many insects but they really did have a fly problem. Big nasty biting ones at that. Once we had a plague of crickets but it didn’t last long.
