ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Article is a testimony from a former witch who became word of faith after coming to Christ, and after time came to believe she had Gods blessing to continue what she had done as a witch but she could now do it for "the right team", Gods team. But she eventually realized she had been deceived again, twice by the same lies, and she left the WoF movement and now speaks against the WoF teachings. Which she unblushingly says, it is witchcraft.
The article also has my response to the commenter at FreeRepublic, some additional comments from myself and about 10 links to other post on the subject from our groupblog.
I have to tell some of you that if you follow word of faith teachers and teachings, your following witches and being taught witchcraft. And with people like Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyers who are "WoF lite", because they do not focus exclusively on WoF distinctive doctrines, some of you will not believe it is true even if an ex-witch, ex-Wofer tells you.
A year ago I had a practicing witch contact me on YouTube about a video I made claiming the WoF is witchcraft and she agreed and thanked me for my video saying it's not right for Christians to be fooled into practicing witchcraft when they think they are believing and practicing Christianity.

If your practicing that words have power in that they shape your life and future, your practicing witchcraft. Words have power in that they are influential - but they do not have the power to create things. A positive attitude is nice but it does not change reality and neither do words. Positive and negative confession is the very foundation of witchcraft. A confession is the same thing as an incantation or spell in witchcraft and other branches of occult philosophy. The belief that words have creative power is occultic in origin and is not a historical Christian teaching. It was brought into Christianity through Kenneth Hagin, whom got it from EW Kenyon, whom got it from Phineus Quimby of New Thought fame. Also a student of Quimby was Mary Baker Eddie of Christian Science fame. She coined the phrase ‘YOU POSSESS WHAT YOU CONFESS”

Yes, I believe so. I think she was talking about speaking life into Words, as if spoken words have power, and in a creative sense.

What exactly can a practicing witch do, that any other person cannot do?
This does not mean none of the ex- testimonies are true, but i do not think invoking an ex witch is necessary when it is clear that the basic doctrine of the typical WoF preachers, that lack of wealth, or health, is a sure sign of lack of faith, is false.
For sure faith is the victory, but faith is manifest in both deliverance as well as endurance when deliverance is not forth coming.
Thus the word "others" in Heb. 11:36:
"Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. I’m having a little difficulty with the “witchcraft” concept used herein.
According to the article, either sort-of-witchcraft or outright witchcraft, or maybe neo-paganism, includes: yoga, nudism, Buddhism, and ‘positive thinking’.
Elsewhere, other things attributed to witchcraft include meditation, Freemasonry, and even Catholicism.
This is somewhat far afield of the Hebrew definition of ‘kashaph’ as a witch or sorcerer (indeterminate, but generally ascribed to magical herbalists, poisoners, magicians, astrologers, those who communicate with the dead, and those who worshiped the Chaldean religions.)
In the old sense, modern Democrats are closer to being witches than are most self-described witches today.
“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another,” Jesus said (John 13:35)
Given this measure, I think Christ might prefer the company of witches and pagans. They certainly don’t stab each other in the back like those who identify themselves as Christians and Conservatives.
Then why are people so concerned with them?
May as well believe in vampires and werewolves too.
