“God used those who already wanted to destroy us. Just like He destroyed Babylon once He was finished using it to punish Israel, God will definitely destroy a large swath of the Mooze Lame world once He’s done using them to punish the West.”
Scripture makes it clear that God raised nations for the express purpose of punishing Israel.
Those who believe that can stop worrying.
The mysticuism part.
The magical mysrtery tree. (”Roll out..”)
Harbingers. Omens.
I already mentioned the not-golden not-calf.
All the prophecy that is mentioned has to do with Israel. We are not Israel. The United States does not appear in prophecy. That is, I believe (because of my eschatology) that the US will be so crippled by events at the end of the Church Age, it will be a third-rate nation— if retaining a national identity at all— through the remaining period.
Warnings are given to those who can alter the course of events. We are far beyond that and have been since before our very young nation’s founding. Since 30 AD, I believe— 70 at the latest.
All we have left— all, I believe, the Church has ever had— is to live out our salvation individually as best we can, and continue to spread the word of salvation— not of mysticism, not even of prophecy— to a world already under condemnation.
Prophecy is for the saved.
Mysticism is for the birds.
Thank you and good night.
It is a very well written and interesting book .
Here is an interview of the author

We all need to be careful and discerning, so as not to be deceived:

A thousand year old mystery........on how to get right with God? Sounds like a mish-mash of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Herbert W. Armstrong-ism and who knows what else?!
Here’s what’s needed: 2nd Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Amen and Amen!
In the book, that scripture is the solution.
“In the book, that scripture is the solution.”
Then he should have written a simple tract and left out all of the mystical gnosticism.
Agreed. It did make for an interesting read, though.
Isn’t it interesting also that the interview with Bill Ayers came out in the New York Times on 9/11? That’s the interview in which he said that the Weathermen should have done more. That had to be a coincidence.
I have read The Harbinger and it is an excellent read.
I did not think I would like it, as the plot line seemed contrived, but as I read, I became intrigued. It drew me in and constructed a very plausible case for the spiritual roots of America and what may be in store for our country.
The role of St. Paul’s Church,on the first Presidential Inauguaration Day (April 30, 1789), where George Washington led the first Congress to a service of consecration immediately after his speech was amazing to learn.
Also amazing is that the steeple of St. Paul’s was originally on the front side of the church; the front entrance is now on Broadway, but that was origianlly the rear of the church; that is why the steeple appears to be on the rear of the church.
The church from the steeple side directly faces Ground Zero.
If you go to Google maps or Bing maps and look at an overhead view of St. Paul’s and Ground Zero, the whole premise of the book comes into very sharp focus.
It does sound interesting. I’m just concerned about the mixing of truth and error. From what I’ve read, the author isn’t someone who should be trusted on theological matters.
It is a novel based on fact.
I just read a novel that was pretty accurate with the fact — the displacement of the Japanese during World War II.
Story line was fiction, but the dates, etc. were factual.
From what I saw of the Catholic theology — it might not be something you agree with, but I have been saying — ever since 011 that Esperanza’s predictions should be followed.
I think she called for three small non-denominational churches to be built on the Ground Zero land, and if that plan was not followed, that it would be destroyed again.
This isn't anything new to most thinking people, myself included, but it did underscore that fact.
If the book only serves as another wake up call for anyone who would be listening, then it is worth the read. Read it with your "filter" on though. Only nine dollars on Kindle.
New scrutiny of airlines options deals
First two paragraphs:
"The Chicago Board Options Exchange said yesterday that it is looking into an unusual spike in trading in two airline stocks in advance of last week's terrorist attacks.
As reported in The Chronicle, options trading in the stocks of the parent companies of American and United airlines was unusually heavy in the three trading days prior to the attack."
I have read this book 3X over. What is presented here can not be dismissed. If America ever needed to turn to God it is now. If we are to survived we need to humble ourselves before God Almighty and repent. One can not ignore the coincidences that line up exactly with God's word. Hopefully America will turn to God when we need Him the most.
**My sister recommended it to me. On finishing the book, I came away with an overall awareness of the awful spiritual state the US is in, including the church. That the “fix” for the US is spiritual and not political.**
Thanks for your frank discussion here.
You have read this book three times? Wow! I will get it, and recommend that everyone else does too.
