A Texas pastor and his wife known
for their frank talk on sex, religion and marriage are planning to spend 24
hours in bed on the roof of their church for everyone to see.
"For far too long, the church has kicked the bed out
and God out of bed," pastor Ed Young said.
At Fellowship Church in Grapevine, a bed is front and center
to explore the subject of sex within marriage.
"It's all about recognizing the importance of sex,"
his wife and fellow pastor, Lisa Young, said.
Ed and Lisa Young will not only be preaching about sex and marriage,
but this Friday they will also spend 24 hours in bed on top of their massive
Grapevine megachurch, encouraging married couples to have more sex.
"Basically the Bible says and God says I made love, so
you can make love in marriage," Ed Young said.p>
They are trying to help couples re-establish the special
bond many husbands and wives put on the back burner.
"I think for years people have carried their own sexual
baggage, into reading about sex in the Bible. They've only talked about the
don't do's, instead of the do's," Ed Young said.
Married almost 30 years with four children, the Youngs
believe sex connects, and ask couples to have sex for seven days in a row. They
call it "the sexperiment."
"This is about discovering intimacy," Lisa Young said.
Something they said their congregation was clamoring for.
"You actually said 'I want to challenge you with seven
days of sex.' The men stood and gave a standing ovation," she said.
The "sexperiment" is based on the Youngs' new
book, which looks at how fatigue, boredom and children can lead to marriage's
demise, and how more sex can rekindle connection.
"What we want to say is look there's a way to do, a way
to do it right… do it successfully," Lisa Young said.
The couple also shared personal ways to make your partner
desire more sex.
"We always like to say what God created is never
x-rated," Ed Young said.
The pastors said it is a gift from God, meant to please your
greatest love for a lifetime.
"We've looked at sex too casually. It's not a casual
thing, it's a profound thing, and it's definitely not a profane thing," Ed
Young said.
The couple's "sexperiment" will be streamed live
on the web.

With all the pornography around; in school curricula, school libraries, the Internet, on TV, in movies, video games, on cell phones, sometimes in public places, in magazines and books everywhere. Is he kidding? This dummy must be out of his mind!
I don’t know who Maude Flanders is but I am assuming it is your attempt to paint me as a prude. I am no prude. I love sex.
There was absolutely NO biblical teaching in that video. There was however a whole lot of opinion, personal stories, shock value and error.
You can ridicule me if you want but I noticed no attempt to refute my critique of your pastor’s sermon.
Although I disagree with this rooftop spectacle for the voyeurs of the world to pervert, I don’t disagree with what they are saying from a Biblical point of view.
For too long, Satan and the world has perverted what God has created and intended, for a healthy, Godly, ongoing sexual relationship between a man and his wife.
IF you read Song of Solomon, it is a very explicit love song between Solomon and his bride, very graphic.
God created us to show all four types of love, Agape (Godly), Storge (Familial), Phileo(Fellow man) and Eros(Physical/Sexual). With the Curse of Sin, the first is missing and the others are limited and corrupted until we are born again with Christ living in us.
Let me post some verses and help people think WHY Paul said the following:

In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 I say this as a concession, not as a command.
Sadly, we have WAY too many instances of adultery in the body of Christ. I contend that a great deal of it is NOT letting Agape love be a foundation for the ENTIRE relationship AND not having the HEALTHY ONGOING intimacy and bonding that God created and intended. To deny the holiness AND necessity of the physical/sexual relationship between a man and his wife is to deny the completeness of what God created for us.

There is nothing disputable in either of those statements. Are you not female? Are you not male?
I can assure you that my pastor expounds on the Bible, clearly and faithfully, every Sunday. If you doubt it, take a look at the other videos, and statement of beliefs on our website.
But if you want to snipe from the sidelines and make false accusations about what we teach or how my pastor does not teach the Bible faithfully, then I can’t stop you.

He is talking about sexual intercourse in this series. He is using the word sex to mean sexual intercourse not male/female classifications. I do not define myself by what I do in the bedroom. Homosexuals do that. Everything becomes about sex.
The second statement is just vulgar and for shock value.
Your pastor may expound upon the scripture on other Sundays but you asked us to consider this ONE video before making our determination which is what I did. He did not expound or teach from this scriptures in this video.

That is not what I got from the message. That is what that ONE statement sounded like. I actually agreed with several of the points they made. However, they never taught them from God’s word. I agree that we cannot look at sex like the culture does and that sex is spiritual also and not just physical. However, this was not a biblical sermon. This was a sex talk that had some scriptures thrown in along with their opinion and a good dose of shock value. In essence they have done the very thing they are decrying, being too casual about sex.

I watched the Christmas video. He preached a sermon in that video. It was good and entertaining. No shock value. I enjoyed it. The other video you asked people to watch was very different.
