I woke up Monday morning in my Atlanta hotel room and sighed, another boring airport day. Good thing I have Doug Gile's new book, "Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls," and Bob Barr's "The Meaning of Is" to carry me home. I decided not to get the TSA naked radiation scan but the molestation pat down.
I was in Atlanta for the premiere of "A Clip in Time," a short film about a paperclip. It turned out fantastic, thanks to brilliant writer Alan Tregoning and producers Wes and Amanda Llewellyn and Jeff Rose. It will be screening April 1 at the 168 Film Festival in Burbank.
My cell rang. "Inside Edition" wanted me. I looked around the room. Do I have any scandals?! And, how'd they get my number?! They said it was about my WorldNetDaily column on Muslims. Then, they called right back and said, no, it's about the gay "Glee" kiss I briefly mentioned in my Muslim column. Oh boy.
It's not about me. It's not about homosexuality. It's about the cross. "The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God," 1 Corinthians 1:18.
At the TV studio, on air, I spoke for 30 minutes and mentioned several Bible verses including Romans 1:24-32, which puts homosexuality in a list of sins including gossip. I said Romans 2 tells us not to "judge" because we are all sinners. I quoted Romans 3:23, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God," and Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."

"Victoria is anything but an "airhead." This sentence encapsulates nearly our entire problem."
For anyone around teens, they know this to be true. It is the awful result of our postmodern culture.
I remember her vaguely, but I don’t think she was terribly successful. She’s very likeable in this article.
Victoria was much more successful and popular as an SNL player than most. Her great looks, talent for playing the quintessential dumb blonde, and her enormous good nature all play into it.
AMEN!
THX for your kind reply.
I wonder if she took time out to have children after SNL.
Too bad most of the conservative media doesn’t have the guts to speak out on the issue that Victoria has.
Victoria Jackson, a "Saturday Night Live" cast member from 1986-1992, is an actress, comedienne, songwriter, uke player, wife, mother, ex-gymnast, Jesus-follower and new grandmother ... not in that order.
That’s great! :)
She did a really good job with that one.
“If you have children and still have a t.v., you are a porn purveyor and a child abuser. There’s no other way to look at it”
Excuse me, I own a TV & have a 4 year old. We watch EWTN - both the big people shows for mommy & the kids shows for my daughter. I do not appreciate your comment. I am not stupid, and I screen what garbage comes into my home very carefully. TV is not the problem, it’s people that are the problem. The same can be said for the internet. Technology is a blessing from God. It’s people who choose to abuse/misuse it.
Kinda like the “guns don’t kill people, people kill people argument.
What a wonderful article!!
The pod people who run CNN also run the rest of the elite media. She won’t be working in Hollywood again any time soon.
Sort of like Chuck Norris?
True beauty really does comes from within.
I have a TV, several in fact, and I am not a “porn purveyor” or “child abuser” as you put it.
TV’s have a channel changer you know, and an on and off button. Certain things are allowed and disallowed in our house - it’s called good parenting.
In fact we just watched a fascinating show the other night about planet Earth on the History channel. So stop your blanket comments and assumptions already.
I have a t.v., too, but no connection to the sewer pipe. I used it to watch specific recorded items that I choose.
No, television is virtually totally corrupt with unmitigated perversity now. If not the shows, the obscene commercials, which would have been considered criminal only 35 years ago, are every bit as bad, if not worse because they are condensed, concentrated smut. If you can't see this, you are part of the problem.
Would you let your child wander through a field that you knew was a minefield; even if you knew that on 5 acres there were only 3 mines?
Actually, sadly, it’s more than one generation.
I have some gay friends/acquaintances, whom I care about very deeply. I've been honest with them regarding my beliefs about homosexuality and vice-versa. We're still talking, that's the way it should be and I pray the way it remains.
Victoria is about as much of an airhead as the fictional TV character Columbo was stupid. I recall seeing her as a guest on Bill Maher's program during the Clinton presidency and marveling that she was seemingly one of the few in Hollywood who wasn't fooled by Clinton....... or his wife.
I will have to agree with you.
My husband works long, hard hours and he enjoys a few minutes here and there spent watching science and nature shows which he very much enjoys. Then, of course, theres football.
I record Dr. Jeremiah, Dr. Stanley, and a few others for when, due to a rather serious disorder, I am unable to attend church.
There are still some good things out there. And t.v., like the Internet, can be used for good or ill depending on the operator.
God Bless,
SC
A blessing of an article, 2ndDV.
Many thanks for posting it.
