It was the kind of nightmare every parent fears. A wrongly diagnosed illness. Another wrongly diagnosed illness. Then a lifeless 4-year-old boy rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery for a an appendix that had ruptured five days earlier. When it was all over, Colton survived and recovered. But that was just the beginning of the amazing saga. Four months later, Colton began telling his parents things he could not have known. "Mom, I have two sisters," he said. "You had a baby die in your tummy didn't you?"

I don’t doubt this in the least. When my grandson was a pre-schooler, he fell out of his treehouse which was about 10-15 ft from the ground. My daughter was watching and she just knew he was severely injured. When she got out there, he was fine. He looked at her and said that his guardian angel caught him. A few months after that, he told her that he had seen the angel again and was told that was the last time he would see her but she would always be around him. My mom was the same way. We all think this ability comes from my great grandmother who was a Cherokee Indian. Who knows???
You do know, I hope, that you can ask the admin moderator or the religion moderator to fix your double title? Right?
I suggest that every Christian read the book “Evidence of the Afterlife” by Dr. Jeffrey Long — great book with stories just like this of NDEs (Near Death Experiences).
Everyone has a guadian angel. We just don’t see them.
I know of unexplained experiences people have had in their lives that make you shake your head in wonder.
Had my own near death experience in an ambulance while having a heart attack. Had a shrink tell me it was because of a lack of oxygen to the brain. I wonder how he’d explain this 4 year old child’s experience. Some people are just too smart for their own good.
Also, concerning this story, it convinces me that all the babies murdered every year are in Heaven.
I had a ruptured appendix many moons ago and it took some time to recover. After the x-ray I witnessed an Angel near me at my side, immediate surgery was ordered. I recovered and will not talk about it.
Have you read that book? Some of the medical statistics I skimmed over. But the NDE stories are fascinating. People watching their own operations.
One had an angel beside every doctor and nurse in the OR.
The doctor later told the patient that he had never had an operation, although difficult, go so smoothly.
No wonder with an angel guiding his hands!
Praise God.
I also had a ruptured appendix. I just thought I had the flu since all my kids had just experienced the flu. When I stopped at the doctor’s office after dropping off two children and with two others in tow, the doctor said — “You are going to the hospital.” I nearly jumped off the table when he touched my abdomen in a certain place. But of course, the denial in me said, “I can’t, I’ve got kids with me.”
He responded, “We’ll call your husband for the kids, the ambulance is here for you.”
Actually I can. This Angel was at the foot of my “cart”. I asked my brother if he could see her. He said no.
And I remember nothing more until I woke up and started walking around. Oh, what pain, worse than childbirth since all my insides had been handled and wiped clean.
I read the above book about the near death experiences in children many years ago. I remember it being very interesting. I should give it a reread.
I like the show "I Survived" on the Biography Channel and now they've added "I Survived: Beyond and Back" which is really interesting. On on of them I saw a few weeks back, one guy had a "dark" near death experience.
Thanks for the post
I spent more than two weeks with this dilemma. My church leaders came and prayed for me. I held out until I was green. Thank GOD I bailed hay as a kid.
I have not read any in a few years but I have read quite a few in the past. When people are declaired dead and can describe what others were saying and doing in another room, there’s just no explanation for it.
They say they see relatives who tell them it’s ‘not your time yet, to go back’ and they really don’t want to!.
People have tried to say it’s something happening in the brain but that won’t explain seeing and hearing things in another room. Frankly, it encourages FAITH in my opinion.
It is rough, it knocked me out of work for 3 months. I lost 50 pounds and learned the LORD something fierce.
Wow—gotta read that book! One book that so gripped me is “90 Minutes in Heaven”...by Don Piper. He survived a horrible auto accident but was declared dead on the scene.
He recalls his experience in Heaven.
Evidence of the Afterlife: The Science of Near Death Experiences by Jeffrey Long, MD. (this is a bestseller-fascinating)
