For those not fully confident that salvation is free and we must live "sin free", please define "sin" for me in such a way as we may then make a full list of sins of commission and omission and live my life accordingly. You will bog down in a sea of ambiguity. For example ,"Thou shalt not kill" .Does this apply in self defense? War? Accident?Thou shalt not bear false witness? How many lies do you tell each day? "I'm fine, thank you " when your not. "I'll get right on it!" (when you won't). How about stealing? Oh,well ,you get my drift. Why did Christ come? Because all are sinner and fall short of the glory of God.

The definition of sin is “to miss the mark.” The bad little things we do are symptoms of the presence of sin.
You are mocking the Lord and you know it.
Being snarky is a sin.
We’re all sinners.
Rom. 3:23
I believe the Torah has something like 613 commandments. Nobody could live up to that.
"Thou shalt not kill" is an ambiguity sadly introduced in some of the earliest English translations-- to include the 1560 Geneva Bible.
Best regards,
Pimping a Blog is a sin..........
****if we do even one of these ,don’t we go to hell?****
If you break one you break them all.
Fortunately, I will stand before the throne blameless.

ONE: ‘You shall have no other gods before Me.’
TWO: ‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.’
THREE: ‘You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.’
FOUR: ‘Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.’
FIVE: ‘Honor your father and your mother.’
SIX: ‘You shall not murder.’
SEVEN: ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
EIGHT: ‘You shall not steal.’
NINE: ‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.’
TEN: ‘You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.’
And of course Jesus taught that anger=murder and lust=adultery.
These are summed up as Love the Lord with all you hear mind and spirit and your neighbor as yourself. Frankly, I don’t even love my wife as much as myself, much less my neighbor.
Excerpting is a sin — Humblegunner 3:16
I once had a discussion with some about adultery. Jesus said even looking at someone funny was adultery. He said, ‘Women have those thoughts, too?”
If you are not fully confident that salvation is free, then you are relying on man-made religions to save you, and that will damn you to hell.
What are those “bad little things” . Be complete.
Explain how I am mocking? I don’t follow your conclusion with no facts or laid predicate.
What is murder?
Vanity posts are a sin.
I’m much more liberal in my attitude to the opus though.
Our preacher just got done with a series on the Ten Commandments. He talked about how they weren’t just “rules” of “shall nots” - but rules to give us a fullfilling life, and keep us out of bondage (to sin).
Moses’ got them after they had just been freed from bondage. No sense returning right back to bondage.
And yes, Jesus expands on them in the Sermon on the Mount. Adultery for example, is even lusting after a person. And how much more fullfilling and rich is making love to your spouse when you have a shared heart and soul. Not just the physical aspect of it. Obviously a lot more fullfilling than lusting after some porn star or the sexy gal at the store.
And the point of trying to follow the Ten Commandments is not so you can get to heaven. (You won’t). It is to live a fullfilling life and so that you can be a decent witness to the Lord.
Anyway - why would “list all of the sins so we don’t mess up” help? I mess up just with a list of ten!
Speak not in the ears of a fool....
if we do even one of these ,don’t we go to hell?
