"Once the student of Scripture has pursued what the Bible itself actually says about antichrist, he will be in position to realize the many farces forced upon him by modern Christianity. He or she will know that there is no such figure mentioned or predicted in the Bible as “the Antichrist.” They will see through the myth."

So if we are now to assume that the term “antichrist” applies to a group and/or idealogy, is it safe to say that the triune of Obama, Pelosi, & Reid, along with all they represent and desire, are “the antichrist?”

The False Prophet:

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth;
and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,
and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast,
whose deadly wound was healed.

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come
down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by those miracles
which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;
saying to them that dwell on the earth,
that they should make an image to the beast,
which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast,
that the image of the beast should both speak,
and cause that as many as would not
worship the image of the beast should be killed.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor,
free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand,
or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark,
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:
for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:11

There is no one named "Joel McDurmon" in the Bible either, but that doesn't mean that Christ didn't die for him.

The name "Anti-Christ" is not what the coming world leader will be known as. He will be lauded and beloved by those who hate God and will probably be called a savior. "Anti-Christ" is a simply a name that people generally use to describe that Satanic leader. He could also be called "Man of Sin", "Son of Perdition" and "Beast".

I'm certain that you don't want to believe that a Satanic world leader will arise, but the Bible makes it clear. The prophecies of Christ's return and the defeat of the Anti-Christ have not yet been fulfilled, but I'm certain that you can explain them away with some tortured interpretation of Scripture.

Good luck with that.

Islam on the other hand does talk about the coming of a defacto Anti-Christ, also known as the Twelfth Imam.

I think the word Hoax is unnecessarily harsh. I’m sort of an agnostic on the end times scenarios (except that Jesus WILL come again), but I don’t think there is any conspiracy on the part of anyone to deceive people about it.

"Why such a strong conclusion over the mere phrase “the Antichrist”?

I think he is trying to point out the singular not the plural or anti-Christ spirit of an age or group.

1 John 4

Test the Spirits

1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

"This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."

But thank God for these books for awareness no matter what the critique. Some never would not of read scripture without these books to read at bookstores or libraries.

The conclusions of the article are misleading and totally false. While there is a "spirit of antichrist," mentioned in the Word of God, Scripture is clear; there is ONE coming... the MAN of sin, who embodies this spirit of antichrist and who will present himself as the Christ:

"Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, “Come.”

I looked, and behold, a white horse, and HE who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to HIM, and HE went out conquering and to conquer." (Revelation 6:1-2, Emphasis added)

The following text makes it clear that an INDIVIDUAL is coming and that he will be a MAN, :

And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on HIS horns were ten diadems, and on HIS heads were blasphemous names.

And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and HIS feet were like those of a bear, and HIS mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave HIM his power and his throne and great authority.

I saw one of HIS heads as if it had been slain, and HIS fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast;

they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with HIM?” There was given to HIM a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to HIM.

And HE opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven.

It was also given to HIM to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to HIM.

All who dwell on the earth will worship HIM, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes;

if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.

(The false prophet will compel the whole world to worship this man and to bear his mark in order to buy or sell anything:)

"Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon.

He exercises all the authority of the first beast IN HIS PRESENCE. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to WORSHIP the FIRST BEAST, whose fatal wound was healed.

He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an IMAGE TO THE BEAST who had the wound of the sword and has come to life.

And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

And he causes ALL, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,

and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either THE NAME OF THE BEAST or the number of HIS NAME.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of A MAN; and HIS number is six hundred and sixty-six. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of THE BEAST, for the number is that of A MAN; and HIS NUMBER is six hundred and sixty-six. (Revelation 13:1-18, Emphasis added)

Throughout the above passage the Apostle John uses the masculine singular in describing THE BEAST, THE PRINCE WHO is to come is a MAN (Daniel 9:26).

As was stated earlier: "The name "Anti-Christ" is not what the coming world leader will be known as. He will be lauded and beloved by those who hate God and will probably be called a savior. "Anti-Christ" is a simply a name that people generally use to describe that Satanic leader. He could also be called "Man of Sin", "Son of Perdition" and "Beast".

Yes, i agree that john was not referring to the end time beast of revelation when he was talking about the anti Christs, since they were already here how could it just be referring to the end time.

The king James version, makes it clear, as it is the only authorized version and while it may be a little harder to understand , it does not contradict its self like some of the versions translated from it.

I think it could be either way but i think it probably means plural, still i wonder why the people who do not believe in the revelation of God tries to trash the king James?

Not too many years ago almost every one read the K.J.V and they still argued tooth and nail which means that people will read in it or ignore it to suit them selfs, and they do the same with these other so called translations.

there is no such figure mentioned or predicted in the Bible as "the Antichrist."

This prophesy of Christ to the Jews does not use the name "Antichrist," but refers to an apparent false messiah:

"I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." (John 5:43)

The verse is often interpreted to mean that Antichrist will be widely accepted as the Jewish messiah.
