According to LDS Scripture, the Apostle John (D&C 7) and the three Nephites (3 Nephi 28) never died. So, how could Gospel “authority” have left the earth, needing “restoration”?
“…in the latter times some shall depart from the faith…”—1 Timothy 4:1
If only “some” would depart from the faith, how could a “complete apostasy” have occurred? Did Jesus fail to preserve His Church against the gates of hell?

Smith threw down the gauntlet and DARED Christians to pick it up! They did and Mormons have been whining ever since.

Well, Elsie, even if you don’t agree with us I hope you would believe we Mormons have the right to worship as we please. I am extremely grateful to live in a country where I can practice my religion freely. There are many places in the world where people are not so blessed.

Christ was not just one of a number of some man god's spirit children in some preexistence Christ is the word made flesh. He is God, not a god but The God, who has existed forever.. The Bible is very clear in this. Ironically the BOM is also replete with references to the Trinity. Of course that is conveniently kicked to the curb because one of the big selling points the LDS con pushes is the whole “god of your own harem and planet” bit which dies rather rapidly in the True Monotheistic reality of the Trinity.
Anything else demotes Christ and putting him on par with the Evil One himself just makes it worse.
