Is it true the Haitian people celebrate voodoo and other practices of worship detrimental to God? If so, then there’s your answer.

You don't seriously believe that, do you?

Besides, if God is all-powerful, how can anything that anyone does be detrimental to God?

Where is God? Where is the good God?

You're asking, why He does not answer to YOU personally ?

... and the horse you rode in on.

All that for *YOUR* *BLOODY* SINS!!

> So what’s there to raise this issue of a “good” God?

Here’s what there is.

Do you have children?

Are they not, in a manner of speaking, your own Creation? Made in your likeness and image?

Would you be willing to die for your children?

Imagine there is a King and a Just Judge. One who must always judge with complete impartiality and honesty.

The Accuser brings before this King one of His own dear children, caught in an act worthy of death. What can the King do? To set the guilty free would be the gravest injustice that would shake the foundations of His Kingdom.

To condemn His dear child is more than He can bear.

What can He do?

The *ONLY* thing He could do to set His child free and to still effect Justice is to take the place of His dear child and suffer the penalty of Death in his child’s place.

Jesus did that for YOU.

Willingly.

He’s waiting for you now.

All you need to do is call upon His name, ask His forgiveness for sending Him to that torturous death, and ask Him to SAVE YOUR SOUL!

Do it!

You have *NOTHING* to lose and *ETERNAL BLISS* to gain!

You've been here, what, two months? And this is your question?

I smell a troll looking for controversy.

3 seconds separating responses that I think were intended to be paired... And, somehow, they were.

Wonder how that happened ;-)

I was going to say, Who is this guy?! And how dare he!

Then I realized you posted only the title in an inflammatory fashion to draw us into taking a look.

The Author only asks the question rhetorically to provide the same answer we already know throughout Judeo-Christianity.

Till the close of Earth’s history, tragedies will continue to spill themselves over the face of the planet — since Adam and Eve first fell for the Lie. But out of every tragedy, faith can lift the arm of hope toward good God. In doing so, victory is assured through the tears. Eternity will prove it to be true.

Amen, Marie2. That is wonderful to hear.

I thought of the same verses you quoted in #15. Although tragedy tempts some people to imagine God's judgement on the victims, the truth is, apart from Jesus we all deserve judgement.

It's a good time to take stock.

Oh yeah, we here in the USA are so righteous, unlike those filthy Haïtians.

Here's a news flash for you: if any country deserves a dose of God's wrath, it's the U.S. of A. At least the Haïtians don't kill a million babies a year in the name of freedom.
