Why is the Gospel of John the Last Gospel?

It's a wonderful verse, it says that God and His Word are one and the same!

Why is the Gospel of John the Last Gospel?

The Gospel of John was written after the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke.

The Word was God

The title demonstrates either
poor communication skills
or fuzzy theology.

Your title suggests that G-d is dead.

YHvH was, is and will always be.

Exd 3:14 Elohim said to Moses,
"I AM WHO I AM"; and He said,
"Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel,
'I AM has sent me to you.' "
He created our time and space.
He has no human bounds.

For centuries the at the end of every mass this passage from john was read. It is called the last gospel in the missal. It is perhaps the most sublime language in the bible (not necess this translation tho). Everyone kneels at the words “et verbum caro factum est.”. Why this was removed from the mass at VII I have no idea.

Thanks for the comment. I totally agree. except that the title is a direct quote from the gospel of John. Not really any fuzzy theology there.

When ripped out of context,
it runs the risk of teaching a
misleading and false gospel.

Your comment suggests unfamiliarity with the source.

Exd 3:14 Elohim said to Moses,
"I AM WHO I AM"; and He said,
"Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel,
'I AM has sent me to you.' "

And Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am."

YHvH's blessing on you.

May you know Him.

Just as you don’t judge a book by it’s cover niether should you judge a column by it’s title.
