“Why do you have to start a fight, especially at Christmas...”
This is appropriate at post #4?
I understand.
Posts #4 and 8 are in violation of the Catholic Caucus rule. I’m sure you’re busy and will get around to them eventually.
The Admin knows and I’m sure he’ll get around to dealing with it soon.
#4 is gone now.
Thanks.
I especially like the part that says Mary was the third person born without Original Sin (after Adam and Eve).
It made me think of Seth, the third child of Adam and Eve, the “replacement.” Mary is the replacement for the Ark of the Covenant.
Seth is also considered the forefather of Noah and all the future “righteous.” Mary is the mother of the Righteous One.
The typology of Mary is fascinating in Scripture. She’s mirrored in so many Old Testament passages and people. I’m only being to have an appreciation of this and to read more closely.
I never ever thought about that either.
She is fascinating.
In the Old Testament, whenever I see the word “Woman” I look at it to see if it applies to Mary. I think that’s one of the reason’s Christ called her, “Woman” so often. He was trying to help us make the connection to all the Old Testament passages foretelling the woman who would help crush sin.
Just my own little study exercise...
It was a joy this morning at Mass to sing the old hymns of Mary. “Hail, Holy Queen” is one of my favorites.
Oi...the serpent just won’t give it up.

Actually, our contemporary music director surprised me tonight by choosing very traditional hymns too.
Until he got the recessional. Then I didn’t sing! (City of God) It is so overused that I so dislike it.
Sorry to disturb your thread. I’ve been on FR since 1998 and had no idea there were such private threads. Maybe they shouldn’t be posted on the main forum. Just a thought.
Our Eecessional was “Hail, Holy Queen Enthroned Above”. Always have loved that one.
