Witness the "all" of me
Bible and The Comforter | Scribe

Posted on 10/17/2009 4:39:18 PM PDT by Jedediah

A manifold witness I have placed in you ,

All that is faithful and true ,

A oneness of The Father and I in one breath ,

Can you imagine this depth ,

For what once rested upon me ,

Was the one and the three in complete harmony ,

And so it is even now My fullness with you ,

For as you witness me all 3 come through ~ ~ ~

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:6-12 (King James Version)

6But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

1 Corinthians 4:18-21 (New King James Version) 18 Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power. 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 21 What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

Which has always amazed me—of course you are quite right.

One would think . . . that thoughtful folks with brains . . . would realize thererfore, that to be narrowly rigidly dogmatic before all the complex facts were in . . .

would be galactic levels of foolhardiness.

And to walk on blithely by as though there was no evidence is even more foolish.

How do these folks cross the streets safely?

You’re quite accurate about that.

Why don’t more naysayers know that?

Terminal stupidity? or Just raw arrogance?

It is conceivable that the unkempt and unlearned and unthoughtful might miss such qualities in her writing, however.

__________

Such meanness, such anger, not healthy.

I clarified what I “read between the lines” in Alamo-Girl’s post, that we should take a sensible attitude towards scripture.

I don’t think I was too far off, based on her reply in post 636, although I don’t want to speak for her.

I’m hoping you would take a more sensible attitude towards scripture instead of the heavy extrapolation found in post 478. Just trying to help.

There is that, alright.

Not sure that’s the best explanation for so many such, however.

Thx.

Quix made Muttley laugh again! How cute!

Or did Muttley just read post 478? Hmmm.

I had a friend who was a huge fan of his, had all the books. He believed Ezekiel confirmed von Daniken.

I read all the books when I was about 21. And Uri Geller and Carlos Castenada too.

Believing such and watching it be debunked should be part of everyone’s young adulthood.

:)

Would you believe

or even

Incidentally Paul Lynde did the voice for The Hooded Claw...and Mel Blanc (Bugs Bunny etc. etc.) and Paul Winchell (Tigger, Kaa from The Jungle Book) also contributed.

Cheers!

I had a crush on Penelope Pit Stop.

Bugs Bunny is my all-time favorite cartoon, by far. I have them all, even the WWII “banned” ones.

I agree on both counts.

Bugs Bunny and the Merrie Melodies were the pinnacle of cartoons. Followed by Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Also a crush on Josie of Josie and the Pussycats.

But my one true cartoon love is Erin Esurance. (Honorable Mention: Jessica Rabbit).

Cheers!

I cannot be sure about you personally, but that post is the most insane load of flabbity-floo I’ve ever seen.

I suspect some kind of tall-tale / performance-art is at work here, as the last load of abject, pitiful blather I’ve seen like that was written by the Unabomber.
