ENTER IN BEFORE THIS BEGINS ! ! ! free republic | Jedediah

Waters of the earth are about to rise ,

Some shall meet their maker and their demise ,

Those that before " Me " have turned and shut their eyes ,

Yet to my flock , my children I Shall reveal ,

The opening of a seal ,

A promise told of long ago ,

Yet even before I open it now you shall know ,

Because you daily inquire of ME ,

Just as David and Zadok you to shall see ,

My seers , My watchmen through the night ,

I shall reveal where to be standing through this plight ,

So see my children enter in ,

To " Zion , yeah " before this begins ,

For I AM your Menorrah , your Fullness , your Light ,

Walk on My path the Father's will this very night ,

Come ! My children inquire of me ,

To be protected during this catastrophe !

For this is just the beginning for there shall be more ,

Enter into Zion , your Menorrah for I AM your door ,

This light I am shedding , this pre-emptive view ,

Is meant specifically for you ,

My obedient , My humble , My Beloved ones ! \o/

Come ! Enter in before it has begun ,

For I am your Rock ,Your Cornerstone ,

Remain in Me do not go through this alone ! ! !

2 Samuel 15:25-28 (Amplified Bible) 25Then the king told Zadok, Take back the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the Lord's eyes, He will bring me back and let me see both it and His house. 26But if He says, I have no delight in you, then here I am; let Him do to me what seems good to Him.

27The king also said to Zadok the priest, Are you not a seer? [You and Abiathar] return to the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz your son and Jonathan son of Abiathar.

28See, I will wait at the fords [at the Jordan] of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.

1 Chronicles 14:10-11 (King James Version) 10And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.

11So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.

Psalm 91 1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

I noticed this picture on your blog, under the caption "Angels Protecting the Homeless". Is it your assertion that what look like wisps of smoke are photographic evidence of angels? How do you know it is not cigarette smoke, vehicle exhaust, or an artifact of the photographic process? Even if you were certain the photograph portrays spirits, how could you be certain they were not demonic rather than angelic?

I’m not good enough at graphic design, but I’d love to see a fake Coke ad showing polar bear cubs floating in the Arctic Ocean, desperately clinging to a half full 2-liter plastic Coke bottle.

I’ve got a question that I don’t think is quite covered in the Religion Forum rules.

If a FReeper fancies himself a prophet and posts his prophecies, can he be criticized as a false prophet or does his status as a FReeper somehow protect him?

I would think his status as a FReeper protects him against posters "making it personal", in the same way that Catholic FReeper Patrick Madrid is personally protected when Madrid's articles are posted and discussed.

You can always cite Deuteronomy 13 & 20 in the general sense, and leave it to the lurker to decide for themselves...

In Deuteronomy 13:1-5, Moses records the first of two tests to be applied to anyone who claims to be a prophet of God. The first test is a theological one. The second test is a practical one. In the first test, the prophet has managed to correctly foretell the future - and then proceeds to tell believers, in effect, that "since I'm right about the future, I must also be right about who God really is..."
13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
A second test is recorded by Moses in Deuteronomy 18:20-22. The second test is the easier one to administer. In this second test, the prophet has proved himself doctrinally correct who God is (i.e. passed the first test, above), but now has to prove his accuracy in proclaiming the future...and he has to be correct 100% of the time....
18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
18:21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
In other words, a prophet who is truly hearing from God, will be correct in his/her prophecies fully 100% of the time, and will be in agreement with what prior prophets have announced re God's nature and character. Any less, and God assures us that "prophet" is false.

The apostle John provides an update to Moses' first test - and a command to apply it - in 1 John 4:1-2. Doctrinally, the presumed prophet must worship the true Christ:

4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

In precisely this way we know that the so called "Rapture" is pure baloney and won't happen.

Hey, I guess that makes me a false prophet then, eh???

But Mary's the queen of heaven...Ya see, we're all prophets...

Actually, it does not make sense. It seems to me that if a member of this forum claims some authority as a prophet, seer, teacher, pastor, recipient of an annointing, etc. and uses such claim to support his comments or writing ...

Particularly if he does so in the article at the top of the thread rather than in the comments ...

He has already "made it personal", and should not be allowed to take refuge behind the rules against "making it personal".

Anyone who does not wish to be personally the subject of discussion should refrain from making himself personally the subject of discussion.

When a poster makes himself the subject of the thread then he has increased the likelihood of the thread being locked or pulled due to unrelenting personal remarks, e.g. "childish behavior."

As long as you don't take that last step ("All X are Y. FreeperX is a member of class X, therefore FreeperX is Y) you can get away with all kinds of things.

"Claiming to be a prophet, and speak the words of God, is an extremely serious thing. I've seen and heard a lot of this kind of stuff around. Without exception each has been an incoherent ramble, stringing phrases pulled from the Bible and from charismatic jargon in what can only be described as third order monkey typing. It's totally and completely different in character from the written word of God we have -- the Bible itself.

"Why should I believe this person is a prophet of God? " --me, earlier and still unanswered.

The same can be said for a (religious) teacher, pastor, etc... I can’t imagine the anger God has towards those that lead others astray.

“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.” luke 17:2

Specificly Jesus is talking about children here, but certainly a more general message can be drawn. Leading anyone astray (adult or child) is a terrible thing.

You never said “Thus sayeth the Lord” so you are just making a prediction or assumption, not speaking for the Lord? Or do you claim to be speaking for the Lord. All in or all out

Someone else answered a similar question back in May, and the answer was this: the local congregation's vote decides whether a prophecy is from God, even if the presumed prophet fails the two Deuteronomy tests.

Of course. But most of them aren't saying the "words of God" in first person.

Somehow I rather don’t think the Lord rhymes like Jesse Jackson in bad poetry so Jed, I think you are speaking for yourself here, not God, even though you seem harmless enough now, you might want to be careful playing with fire from Heaven

Someone else answered a similar question back in May,

I note that I chimed in there too, 100+ messages later.

"Standard remains the same. 100% correct and doesn't lead you away from worshiping the true God. Otherwise 'the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.'

"The modern wannabes don't come close."
