Prize-winning cartoonist Garry Trudeau, creator of "Doonesbury," is poking fun at the constitutional question over Barack Obama's eligibility to be president, based on questions about whether he qualifies under the Constitution's requirement that the president be only a "natural born" citizen.

Saying Trudeau is a political hack is like saying all candidates for president should be `natural born citizens’:
there’s no need for Captain Obvious.
Sadly, there are some here on FR who agree with this snotty, effete, lefty cartoonist, and they really stink up the place.
What I find most troubling about these is not Trudeau’s reflexive, utterly one sided “sense of humor” (if can even be called that), as that’s to be expected—the way he has always been.
However, here he’s picking on a very meticulously non-partisan Christian organization (whom he called “The Family”). No, it’s not Dobson’s group, but rather the extremely low key evangelical group which sponsors the National Prayer Breakfast every year.
I’m not sure the writer at WND gets this...(as the “Hitler” reference, for example is referring to a controversy of a slip of the tongue from someone from a few years ago.) This is less of an attack on birthers, than a direct attack on Christians ministering on Capitol Hill.
These guys don’t make their political opinions known to ANYONE....on purpose—that they may have an open door for ministry to anyone and everyone on the Hill. (consequently, lefty and right leaning groups tend to be suspicious of them—thinking there is some sort of hidden political motive—when there isn’t.) That Trudeau is attempting to deride them is extremely sad—and shows the depths of his own rather evil insanity, in my opinion.
I have long since stopped reading Garry Trudeau’s crappy “comic”.
Garry Trudeau is a hardcore lefty, I have no interest in his take on things.
I’ve never found this guy to be funny. I don’t get it....I really don’t. Unless he equating Obama with Jesus, then it’s a bit amusing.
You know, the first thought that came to mind when I read the last panel was that Jesus has indeed provided a long form birth certificate. It is called God’s Word, the Bible, and it is indeed quite impressive.

My point here is that he’s directly attacking a very non-partisan Christian organization—which is why this is posted in the religion forum.
When one can handle it, reading Trudeau can give one a window into what mainstream liberals believe...and the extreme hostility to (NON-POLITICAL) Christians there is very disturbing.

So in popular culture (read: Doonesbury), the "birthers" are portrayed as asserting BO was "born in Kenya."
In fact, NO ONE knows where BO was born.
The "birther" legislation would only require that a presidential candidate furnish certified proof of birth on U.S. soil to TWO U.S. citizen parents.
It's interesting how Trudeau is glossing over the issue of BO's non-citizen father. I guess it's too big a concept for "the masses" to grasp.
On the other hand, the fact is that questions about BO's eligibility are getting more out there in the open; that's a good thing.

He has never improved. He was untalented 38 years ago. He was even told it by a publisher.
While I don’t care much for Trudeau I think it is good that he is doing this on the’birthers’
I have my doublts about Hope Changie Dork’s legitimacy too.
Especially when he went to a school for OLY indonesian citizens, and he has failed to produce his passport, BC, school reocrds, ANYTHING.
And he should be DISBARRED for lying under oath to The Bar examiners that he had never used another name (Barry Soerto) who the hell is Soerto anyway?
Was his mother’s name really Stanley?
