Join the Boston community in sharing our grief and celebrating the life of Dr. George Tiller, a true hero for women across the country.
Monday, June 1st 6pm
St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral 138 Tremont St., Boston Across from the Park St. T stop
Please help us spread the word via email, Facebook, Twitter, and texts. Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=88629078374&ref=nf Twitter hashtag: #BostonVigil and #Tiller (this one is attracting some unpleasant tweets, however)
Dr. Tiller was shot and killed Sunday morning while serving as an usher at his church in Witchita, Kansas. Since the 1970s, Dr. Tiller has provided critical abortion and reproductive health care at great personal risk. In doing so, he has saved the lives and futures of countless women and girls across the country. His murder is a tragedy for his family, friends, and colleagues. It is also a tragedy for the women who need his care and for the entire community of health care providers and advocates, and for all of us who believe in a woman's right to dignity and self-determination. Please join us in honoring this great man who truly lived by his motto to "Trust Women."
So, how about mourning for the soldier that was gunned down this morning?
These “churches” are hideously confused. Hideously.
Apparently murdering viable children as late as 8-9 months into gestation is providing “important” care for women...what a digusting statement...
No doubt! A church celebrating the work of a man who MURDERED hundreds if not thousands of children???
Aparently they have confused what Christ said about children and His love and care for them...wow...pray for all who support abortion that they may know Christ’s love for the unborn and realize what abortion truly is.
Shocked! I am NOT! Only in Boston! What a cesspool!
Dumbest folks in the country here!
“Since the 1970s, Dr. Tiller has provided critical abortion...”
...murdering 60,000 babies and amassing a fortune in blood money doing it. He ranks as the worst mass murderer in the history of Kansas, a state that bears the shame of never prosecuting this evil man for 60,000 deaths of the cruelest, most painful kind inflicted on the most defenseless of humans.
He murdered perfectly healthy babies that could have been given up for adoption.
He was a sick bastard that should have been stopped by the authorities a long time ago.
Heh heh. Yes this Massachusetts-raised Episcopalian will be signing up for RCIA in the fall!!!
Welcome, congratulations, and God bless!
So does the recruiter death go on the Iraqi war dead list since he was killed by a black muslim?
I’ll celebrate a moment of breaking wind for this guy.
“What you did for the least of these my brethren, you did for Me...What you did not do for the least of these, you did not do for Me”
yup...and the pro-choice fools continued to defend those practices as if there is any logical reason for supporting the barbaric tactics he practiced on the living unborn.
It just makes me sick to think of how those children were destroyed as if they were nothing. It’s just disgusting.
Geez i wonder what kind of church this was, i would’nt even think of stepping one foot in it no how no freeking way.
Violence begets violence. Even Our Lord said something along the lines that if you live by the sword, you will die by the sword.
Tiller took many lives. And thousands live with the repercussions of that.
But to take his life puts that killer in the same category.
The taking of a life is murder unless for self-defence...
No true pro-lifer would advocate using violence like this.
It is a heinous crime.
Agree.
Tiller was a vile barbarian, no doubt. Yet I'm going to to pose a logical proposition to see how people respond.
If a psycho killer appeared in your neighborhood and started killing people, everyone would agree it would be justifiable to stop the guy with deadly force. The reason would be simple: To save lives.
If a life is a life, that is, a 8-month-old has the same value as a 18-year-old, then using the same logic as above, isn't it justifiable and heroic to kill an abortionist? If not, then is shooting a psycho killer also wrong?
I am completely against shooting abortionists because, however wrong abortion is, we have laws that keep us from chaos. Still, I pose my question for discussion.
