Time to call out the Big Guns.
Some of you have heard thru FReepmail that a week and a half ago a mass was found during a routine chest X-Ray. 2 days later they did a CT Scan. Yesterday I had a Biopsy done. I just got off the phone with my Doctor.
I have cancer.
Specifically, Adenocarcinoma. More tests need to be done to determine the stage and if it is just the one tumor or if it has spread.
Please include me in your Prayers that this can be treated. The most powerful weapon I can employ in this fight is Prayer.
That’s great news. Lawn work helped me in my heart attack recovery; you can take a break when you need one, but it’s good exercise, and at the end something is accomplished.
It’s been great seeing how our prayers for you have been answered, and the progress reports are heartening.
May God continue to bless your recovery, and your health.
Excellent good news my FRiend!
Great way to celebrate too!
I have you visualized swaying gently to and fro in your hammock. Enjoy and keep up the good work.
Sounds like a good plan -relax and heal. Glad to hear you’re feeling better!
Continuing prayers.
GReat news, Petruchio.
Thanks for the update. Prayers continue.
Pinging you to the Petruchio Thread.
Good news update at #499.
Thank you!
Just dropping by to check and see how you’re doing. So glad to find that you are continuing to improve.
Keeping you and yours in prayer. God bless.
I wondered how you were doing! Great to *see* you!!!!
How are you feeling now?
UPDATE:
Today I met with the Oncologist. Pathology reports confirm it was stage 1A, confined to the one tumor on the lung. The lung tissue and lymph nodes are clear.
I have to go back for CT Scans every 4 months as followup.
All the Doctors involved think I am healing ontrack. (well, maybe pushing things a wee bit . . . ) I am off the heavy pain killers, only taking Aleve for pain now. Pain is bearable and constant. It feels like a fresh sunburn that was just slapped. grumble, grumble, grumble, . . . Still need the Oxygen full time. I am starting to wonder if I should file for one of those handicap tags for the car. This dragging the oxygen tank everywhere is getting old real fast.
On the plus side I have lost 15 pounds! Another 45 pounds and I will be where I should be.
Again, I want to thank everyone for all the Prayers. It is abundantly clear that Prayer has been a major factor in my getting through this trial. I am grateful and in your debt.
Will keep up the prayers. God Bless you. Get well soon.
W00H00! Congratulations! Don’t offer ‘em another lobe for that last 45 pounds...it ain’t worth it. :-)
BTTT
I’m so glad! I will be continuing prayers, and hope you will keep us updated!
I’m so happy to hear how well you are doing. We still say prayers for your recovery. You should get yourself a handicap tag. Just use as long as you need to. Doesn’t have to be forever. Take care my FRiend!
Good for you! Keep up the good work.
Continued prayers, glad to hear you’re doing well, get better soon cuz once obamacare kicks in things will change drastically!
Prayers...
