NO! She was NOT ordained.
They can also see themselves as a collection of reincarnations of the Queen of Sheba while they're at it, it just doesn't make it so.
In other news, a nine year old in Kansas city declared himself CEO of Newsweek and fired the entire staff...developing
Jeez - I'd be damned before I gave a 25 year old of either sex the time of day if they told me they were a priest. Listening to their homilies must be the psychological equivilent of shooting a nail gun into your skull.
Old Abraham Lincoln story:
"Ma'am, if you call a dog's tail a leg, then how many legs does a dog have?"
"Why, I suppose it would have 5 legs, Mr. Lincoln."
"No, Ma'am. Calling the tail a leg, doesn't make it a leg."
So she’s a “priestess,” right?
Then, ipso facto, she is not, as Newsweak claims, "A woman ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood."
Inflammatory title. No, she was not!
They “decline to recognize the authority of the pope but see themselves nevertheless as Roman Catholic.”
Oops, do not pass go, do not collect $200. They can see themselves as whatever they want, but self-delusion does not mean that whatever priest they ordain is in fact a Roman Catholic priest. Heck, by these standards my dog could “ordain” a priest.
The bigger question is why Newsweek would run such tripe.
Well, I see myself as super secret special agent... but I don't recognize the authority of the CIA or NSA or...
If you can become a Catholic priest even if the Catholic Church says no, then I want to be a priest.
I’m not Catholic. I’m married. I have kids. But I’ve always wanted to wear a purple robe.
Abracadabra! I’m a priest!
Anybody want to get married? I’ll do it for $25.
Homosexuality is not inherently sinful. Love in all of its forms can be for the glory of God.

Give me a bible verse to back this us Priestess. She is an error and needs a serious correction.
She is also married to a Protestant.....sorry, Newsweek, you got it all wrong. She is NOT ordained a priest.
My dog just made me pope... Ice cream for everyone!!

I believe it was in the movie “Working Girl” that one of the characters says: “Sometimes I dance around in my underwear and sing, but that doesn’t make me Madonna....it never will.”
Summary of article:
Woman: I’m a Catholic priest!
Catholic Church: No, she’s not.
Newsweek: See, she’s a Catholic priest!
As a Protestant, I easily recognize that she’s not “Roman Catholic” nor that the Rome has anything to do with this.
However, Newsweek appears to be willing to stupidly perpetuate falsehoods to hurt the Catholic church.
All true Catholics ought to stop supporting such a business.
and by Bob's Church, Furniture Repair, and Bait Shoppe, chartered under the Guys with White Vans Ecumenical Council of Greater East Rockaway
... a group of churches that decline to recognize the authority of the pope but see themselves nevertheless as Roman Catholic.
Isn't that kind of like a liquid that declines to call itself "wet" but claims to be water? I mean, I like to CALL myself a blend of Einstein, Donald Trump, and Ron Jeremy.
