It may take a long time for those rosaries to bear fruit--God has his own time and his own plan. But they were never prayed in vain, nor are they to this day.
As for me and my house, we have prayed years of rosaries--those wonderful 15 meditations on the life ,death and resurrection of Our Lord. It is the daily meditation on these mysteries of Christ Jesus that keep our minds and hearts directed to Him.

I remember praying the rosary every Friday in Catholic gradeschool in the 1950's for the conversion of Russia.

Did you know that in the Sacred Heart visions of St. Mary Alacoque in 1689, Jesus told her to tell the King of France to consecrate France to His Sacred Heart and to put the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the king's shields and seals. She was able to inform the king about the request Jesus made. The king said he would think about it. Sr. Mary told Jesus what the king said. Jesus told her that one day his patience would run out. In 1789, exactly one hundred years later -- to the day!, the "Third Estate" revolution began. Soon after, the king of France was jailed and then executed. He wrote in his last testament that he knew about it and should have made the consecration.

Paul is referring to it in his epistle to the Thessalonians as "strong delusion" that they should believe the lie, because they had not the love for the truth, that they might be saved. It is strong delusion that captures their imaginations.
