Mohammed in the "Gospel" of Barnabas - ZOT for the Theologians

Posted on 07/17/2006 9:05:28 AM PDT by parakletos

The GREAT PROPHET MOHAMMED was mentioned by name in the forgotten gospel of Barnabas, who was one of the disciples of THE GREAT PROPHET JESUS CHRIST.

The gospel is here: www.barnabas.net/

in the aforementioned site, make a search for the word "mohammed".

heres a sample: from part 97

Then said the priest: `How shall the Messiah be called, and what sign shall reveal his coming?'

Jesus answered: `The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he had created his soul, and placed it in a celestial splendour. God said: "Wait Mohammed; for thy sake I will to create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make thee a present, insomuch that whoso bless thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be accursed. When I shall send thee into the world I shall send thee as my messenger of salvation, and thy word shall be true, insomuch that heaven and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall never fail." Mohammed is his blessed name.'

Then the crowd lifted up their voices, saying: `O God, send us thy messenger: O Mohammed, come quickly for the salvation of the world!'

what do you think?

Oh, well, that's an easy one: if you let them got too hot, or overpressure, then they self-immolate and you don't get to have them for lunch (or breakfast, or dinner, or an afternoon snack, or...whatever).

It's much more satisfying to the appetite to get the table all set, serve them up, devour them, and then relax with a cold brew and a toothpick.

I don't use those kinds of words with my DW; she's too well-legged.

I need a gun.

Who doesn't need a gun!!!

I just found out about an hour that I'll have to sell my 12-ga, be a pretty big headache since I bought it in Canada and would be taking it to the US. Disheartening to have to sell a firearm, but personally I'd rather not fill out forms that let the ATF know what I have.

Yes, but it must be safely stored, the gun stored separately from the ammo. in a locked box, and to take it to the shooting range it must be in your trunk, and you have to call the cops to advise them if you are transporting it anywhere.
By the time I got the gun out and loaded I'd be over my anger.
I think I'll stick to knives.

;-)

Glad to be of help.

I've been mulling a move, and I've got such a housefull of stuff that I think I'd have to become an eBay PowerSeller before I could even contemplate it.

This kind of thing would make it VERY much easier. MY friend even loaded his Honda 929 (motorcycle) into his crate. He strapped everything in tight and it all made the trip in great shape.

Which does bring out THE core factor in the success or failure of such a move strategy -- YOU. How well you do your packing and how well you secure your load inside the crate is THE ONE THING that makes the most difference in whether your stuff arrives in good shape.

We don't have to notify police and don't have to transport it in the trunk, but in Mass., the gun must be stored separately from the ammo unless you are carrying it on your person.

Keeping ammo separate from guns is something crooks won't do, so chalk up another unbelievable stupid freaking suicide law which no one follows.

Pack it up in your crate. Just don't ship any ammo with it.

If they question you at the border about drugs or firearms just smile and ask, "Whaddya need?"

Earth has a shortage of energy. We need fusion.

I'm working on it.

and to take it to the shooting range it must be in your trunk,

That is for handguns only, not rifles & shotguns.

and you have to call the cops to advise them if you are transporting it anywhere.

I don't think you have to go that far for handguns, but going to the range you do have to take the shortest available route. There are ways to get around this, I think you can register as a competetive shooter (or something to that effect), enabling you to keep a handgun in your vehicle & cross provincial boundaries. Conveniently enough, there are weekly or monthly shooting matches in each province!

You can also buy handguns that escape the registry laws, i.e. they aren't technically a gun so you can acquire them w/o a lic and don't have to register them & can keep them loaded. Apparently there are some beautiful .32 revolvers you can get like this.

Moving, and all the phone calling, is about as enjoyable as job hunting!

Yes, packing is EVERYTHING! Though, if my stuff breaks I figured I'd blame Bush :-)
