We had women warshed, probably a homosexual couple too. 8(
"Setting the church on fire" sounds like a great thing. Figuratively speaking of course.
John Paul personally brought me into the church at his death. I can vouch for the posthumous miracle! Benedict... I didn't like Ratzinger. I thought he was the shadow Pope. But then I decided he was the best choice. And when he came out on the balcony in those ill-fitting vestments... I fell in love with him. Viva Il Papa!
Most of the time they would have already made their first confession before Easter Vigil mass.
I made my decision to investigate joining that day.
Well, we had a beautiful Vigil. I can't really express how I feel, but I am very happy. I will post some more tomorrow after some reflection.
Welcome Home. This is our first-year anniversary.
Have a Blessed Easter, and may you always feel the Presence of the Holy Spirit as much as you did last night!
Good for you! I will be praying for you on May 23rd. I, too, left ECUSA b/c of the current controversies and feeling uncomfortable giving financial support to crumbling structures that are hell-bent upon the destruction of the family. But, no way could I have known I would feel so totally at home in the Catholic Church after so short a period of time. People ask me "what it feels like to be Catholic" and all I can say it that it feels totally "natural," like I've been Catholic all my life. Episcopalianism feels like so long ago now.
In our parish we had 30 people coming into Full Communion. Of that, 11 were baptized.
30 or so of them were from our parish!
Rescurrection Day!
Oh, that glorious morn!
When death was left forlorn!
The stone by angels rolled away
To free the Light of Rescurrection Day!
All that men had feared before
Were in the load that Jesus bore!
To those He loved He softly came
Whose lives would never be the same!
EV
Have a blessed and joyous Easter yourself!
God bless you for your efforts! Keep us posted on King Vanity's progress too.
**rumor has it that a directive came from our Bishop that only men were to have their feet washed.**
I wish this would happen with our bishop!
**We are a pretty conservative parish.**
I would bet this is one reason you have 60 converts!
**over 2000 catechumens and candidates were entering the church in the Houston area this year.**
Wow and double Wow!
LOL! I've been to Easter Vigil Masses that fit the bill, figuratively ... but in this case, I meant the real thing. And we have fire warnings because of drought, too!
As God is my witness...
We were saying good night prayers for all and for Easter he hel my hand to end prayer and I Prayed out Loud..
Christo, Christo , Christo then (you can check the weather to verify) the Thunder roared and lightning cracked.
I am not a nut we looked at each other and other than being stunned I just said Holy, Holy, Holy is his name.
The other person in the house went to sleep.... and I am right behind him but we feel like we had a spec. you know. I probably should have sent this PM but it was soooo real. I want to share.
The candidates, those already baptized, have gone to Confession in preparation for this night.
The catechumens, those not yet baptized, did not. Because, of course, Baptism does what it always does, cleanse us from all sin.
