Oh, dear! I'd forgotten about the fire. My sons are serving tonight; I hope they don't cause a catastrophe!

Those being baptised do not need Confession, because baptism washes away all sin, original and personal.

Those who are joining the Catholic Church from other Christian denominations go to Confession before they receive Communion and Confirmation. Usually this is done a week or two before Easter.

I just watched the beautiful vigil Mass from Rome live on EWTN (Rome is six hours ahead of our East Coast). Tell your friend that at least he's not about to be received by the Pope on international television! Now that would be something to be nervous about...

It would be an accident, *of course*, if they set the church on fire.

Life long Catholic, Salvation, not without some detours and some thought. Back for a long time, as time goes. Just taking in the joy.

Miss Marple,

I remember your posts from last year as JP II was dying. I thought of you tonight as I watched the Easter Vigil Mass from the Vatican. God Bless you!!

I will be confirmed into the Catholic Church on May 23, also from ECUSA. People ask me why... the shortest answer I can give is that I'm too conservative for the Episcopal Church, but there is so much more.

At our Retreat yesterday, all the UB2s gave their faith journey, and then emptied some special water they brought into a basin that would be used for their baptism. They were absolutely glowing. I

Archbishop Dinardo told us at the Rite of Election that over 2000 catechumens and candidates were entering the church in the Houston area this year.
