homosexuals are like flies....whatever they don't eat, they sh#t on.

From what I've read they are not so picky that what they eat hasn't been sh!t on already either.

<< Her selfishness, self-absorption, egoism and arrogance will send another bump of Episcopalians elsewhere.
She ... is changing people's lives with her meglomania. >>

Meglomania?

Perhaps. But you're altogether too kind.

Her kind of absence of Truth has another, much more succinct and precise, name:

Evil.

Blessings - Brian

BUMPping

This is so sad. They first infiltrated the Catholic Church and almost brought it down, then the Episcopal Church.

All we hear is how Christians force their lifestyle on everyone else, and that is wrong. I suggest to this lesbian, it is quite the opposite! It is in fact homosexuals who force their way into our schools and churches, and try to force the lifestyles on us. Just as they are trying to do to the Catholic colleges across the nation.

But is she Scripturally qualified?

Sounds like she may be the 'husband of one wife' if that's what you are asking, and unlike the 'bishop' of New Hampshire, there is no indication that she is 'given to much wine'.

Even with what has happened I wouldn't have ever thought that a lesbian could be a bishop of any REAL Christian church.

well its reached Roman Candle proportions.

Cheap shot. Perhaps you'd like to list for us the openly lesbian bishops appointed by Pope Benedict or his predecessor?

Over the weekend, I had some fine discussions with a former Episcopalian priest who is now seeking ordination in the Catholic Church. I'm sure there will be many fine new Catholics coming over from the Episcopalian ranks, and some of those from the clergy will make excellent priests in the Catholic Church.

Dude a Roman Candle is a firework. As far as I know it has no affiliation with the roman catholic church.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I wonder, just how serious can a BISHOP be about her religion, about teaching, training, and disciplining the ministers and thousands of people in HER OWN religion .... if she is living in sin with a woman who claims to be a minister in a completely DIFFERENT faith?

AFter all, would you listen to a Baptist bishop who was living with to a Roman Catholic, but was not married to that Roman Catholic?

Talk about horror.

Suppose a person were an actual God-fearing and God-loving Episcopalian with deep roots in Los Angeles. Choices: stay in the ECUSA and in Los Angeles and have a practicing lesbian bishop; stay in Los Angeles Archdiocese and become a Roman Catholic but be under Roger Cardinal McPhony; take the big leap and leave LA and your roots behind and flee to Lincoln, Nebraska, there to become an RC under Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz. #3 is a serious cultural jolt but well worth it.

Doesn't really matter: The Epis. bishops ARE responsible for the greater duty of teaching, training, and disciplining the ministers and people of their religion. How can you take seriously somebody as a leader and trainer and example a "religious" minister who doesn't even live with a person of their OWN (supposed) faith?

Dude a Roman Candle is a firework.

You know, sometimes I can't read worth pigsnot. Reminds me of that old seminar slide:

PARIS IN THE
THE SPRING
My apologies.

(Although we do use a lot of candles, I don't think that would qualify them as "Roman Candles"!)

Maybe you could slip in a roman candle at the next ceremony.

A church I attended growing up had a big pipe organ. I always wanted to hide a few in the metal pipes and set them off when it hit its crescendo.......

No there are not. I used to be SB & the very idea of any priesthood other than that of the believer is intolerable. The title used for a pastor is Brother.

You can always practice at the baseball park. They'll probably even pay you for it. :-)

Haven't the Episcopalians made whatever point Henry was trying to make? Isn't time to come home? We in the Roman Catholic Church have our problems but they are because of human failures to follow true doctrine NOT because of failed
doctrines.

here is a less well mentioned part of her resume - her church is tiny...200 members. If anyone thought she was good at her job the place would be busting at the seams with joyful members of the church. It is a dead church. Why promote her?
