I just met a woman while exercising at the track. She was crying her eyes out.
I gave her a tract on who Jesus is and said Merry Christmas.
I drove away, bought two coffees, went back and gave her one. Made her smile just once anyways.
I also called an old woman friend who got engaged a year ago, havent heard from her in a while. She and her fiance broke up. His dad died the same day as mine last August, and he started doing steroids, and then her Mom had to have stem cell transplants to try to lick the cancer she was dying from.
Her mom made it by a hair, but her fiance went to the dark side due to the steroids.
If you have the time, please ask the Lord to bless these two women, the one crying and my friend from Chemistry class. Let the crying one learn who Jesus is from the tract, and let my friend look to the Lord to satisfy her troubles and lonliness.
A prayer sent. Lots of people in lots of pain and holidays can be hard times:'(
You gottem, for both troubled ladies.............God Bless and Heal them both..........
Prayers for those women. May they find their peace in Christ.
You have a kind and thoughtful heart. May God richly bless you for caring about these two hurting people and will join the prayers for them as you direct.
Prayers being sent.....
The world could use more people like you. Most wouldn't have given her a second glance.
A simple truth that has helped me muddle through many, many a-time: God never gives a tree heavier fruit than it can bare.
Christmas tears...
Praying for them and saying a prayer of thanks that God put on earth a person like you.
I will remember these two ladies in my prayers.
May the Lord be with her
Thank you all!
The last thing I need is anyone hitting me with Jesus stuff when I am down. They make me uncomfortable. I do appreciate their prayers IF I feel like they are not trying to suck me into their brand of Christianity.
When I first got a heightened enthusiasm for my faith in Christ, I made some awful mistakes, hitting people with that sort of thing when they were weak and defenseless, like a captive audience sort of thing.
Your hurting people will be in my prayers.
We never know how our prayers will touch anyone we pray for. (Just think of the Blessed Virgin Mary asking Christ telling Christ about the lack of wine at the wedding of Cana).
Lord, I ask you guidance and tender loving care for these two women. I have been in both places -- fighting my husband's cancer with him, and after his death-fighting the tears.
May they ask for and receive your comfort and care. Amen!
Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Prayer Ping List.
Please post your prayers to RaceBannon;
Prayers on the way!
O Lord,
into your hands
we commend these two women,
and all those with aching hearts,
and battered souls,
and aching bodies
and the emptiness
that life so often brings.
O Lord,
you too know
the ache that comes from being rejected,
the taste of dust,
the feeling of exhaustion,
how the darkness in men's hearts can hurt
those who don't deserve it,
and for this,
you came
to teach,
to heal,
to save.
O Lord,
let us who know you
hear your voice in our hearts,
be your hands
to soothe the pain of another,
be your voice
to say your word
to one in need,
to be your tool
to reach out and heal,
this day and always,
Amen.
That was such a nice thing to do .. some folks today would have just passed her by without a thought
Sending my prayers for two strangers in need
