More goings on at St. Joan of Arc parish
St Joan of Arc Parish ^ | 7/4/04 | St. Joan of Arc parish

"In a time when right wing conservatives of many churches condemn the lifestyle of homosexuality, some excluding gays and lesbians from worship while perpetuating a message of hate, St. Joan's has been steadfast in welcoming their GLBT parishioners. A monthly potluck support group run by Ron Joki and Theresa Healy allows for an outreach of connectiveness. An annual GLBT spiritual retreat explores biblical readings, meditations, rituals, play and musical skits with guest performers and speakers that confront negativity, challenges exclusivity and affirms acceptance and healing. This very website includes a GLBT section devoted to updates of relative news, GLBT families, same-sex adoption and potluck meetings. And SJA continues their presence in marching in the Pride parade each year"

What's in the water in Minneapolis?

This is the same place that gave the ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark S. "Bill Clinton in an Alb" Hanson AND the "irregular ordination" of self avowed practicing lesbian Anita Hill.

GLBT
Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender

And this is a Catholic Church?

I understand love the sinner and hate the sin, but this sounds way out there.

the "irregular ordination" of self avowed practicing lesbian Anita Hill.

That's not the same Anita Hill of Clarence Thomas fame?

An annual GLBT spiritual retreat explores biblical readings,

I'm certain a few passages from the Bible are omitted.

Click on the URL! I am not good at positing HTML pics, but read the entire article, and see how "Catholic" this parish is.

Well, isn't that special. The queers are paddling their canoes to hell and the church is outfitting them.

Anita needs an iron.

Or, at least, a steamer.

It seems that so many of our so called "pastors" are letting the wolves graze amoungst the sheep. This homosexual lifestyle is wrong and we are in trouble when people in the Church normalize it like it is a "normal family" so come bring your pot lock dinner. If Jesus said that it is adultery to look with lust in your heart with a member of the opposite sex and he said that a man and a woman shall marry and the two shall become one flesh and then we know that he said he was a fulfillment of the Law which condemns homosexual acts as an abomination then those in the Church will be judged by Christ for not calling homosexuals to repentance. Instead some of our pastors are encouraging this lifestyle and then when the good priests speak out against this perverse and unhealthy life style which kills the soul and can send souls to hell if they die in a state of unrepentant sin, these good priests are castigated by the laity or the hierarchy for not being "politically correct".

We are having a sexual scandal in the clergy precisely because there is a homosexual problem which is given a wink and a nod by so many Bishops. The wistle blowers are condemned as was the case in that Va. Diocese with bishop Laverde and that good priest who spoke of the homosexual priest problem and he had his priestly faculties stripped. Stephen Brady wrote about it in Roman Catholic Faithful web sit. In Cleveland a young 17 year old was told not to make public the advances that a priest made on him or everyone in his step dad's class of deacons would have to step down. It would cause a scandal. They gave the boy some money for counseling and within 10 years that priest was put in a very large parish despite many complaints that the priest would not wash his hands at the Lavabo and other unorthodox statements he made about the priesthood, purgatory, and the magesterium. The diocese told people who complained about him that they were ruining his good reputation when all the while they knew in his personnel file that he admitted to having made advances on the boy and that he received counseling. This priest was made pastor of a LARGE and wealthy church were people were complaining about him . This church had a big grade school. There is a big push that the homosexual Man Boy love group is putting out to lower the age of consent between adults and young teens and Fr. Paul Shanley was there poster boy who had molested all those children. I heard that he was not going to do much time in jail.

Postcards are very effective, cheap and user time efficient. They also reach a larger readership as they sail through mail sorters, chancery receptionists and bishops secretaries.

Just a simple "How can you countenance events at St. Joan of Arc,that are so contrary to Catholic teaching? You hurt the Church, faithful Catholics, the Holy Father and most of all Jesus.Do something noble for a change--resign!"

"Thankyou in advance for your cooperation."

"Sincerely"

As a practicing Irish Catholic I am particularly distressed by the number of Catholic Clergy leading their people away from the Church and toward Perdition!

Only when the people stop funding these Heretics will the church conform tto the true teachings of Christ.

Actually they're accused of being 'hateful' which, apparently, is a greater sin than engaging in homosexual activity. Frankly, their problem is the same as the Bishops had with their abusing priests. They're going overboard in being 'compassionate' and 'pastoral', and they're not being strong in what the Church teaches and trying to turn the sinners away from their lifestyle and sinful behavior.
