Unless I'm mistaken, didn't that thread only last a half-dozen posts or so before it was pulled? What did drstevej say? How was it a meltdown?
You could be right, but from what I am told, drstevej has yet to be given an official explanation for this particular suspension. In other words, no specific posts have been cited as the reason. No Mod has stepped forward and said "I did it, and here's why". The unofficial abuse mentioned most often, from what I have heard, was his "fundraiser" posts to this thread. And you'd have to admit that they were tame by comparison to some of his other stuff.
He doesn't think Jesus is God. Is that ok with you now? Because it wasn't before.
What I see is you and some of your "friends" going out of your way to ridicule a person because of his or her honest search for the truth.
It makes no difference whether you agree with the person or his/her choices, it is just another opportunity for you to jump on with your snide remarks, "humor" and ridicule.

Not at all... I ridicule jab him on this topic because it is the easiest knock on him (today). I will pick something new to tease him about tomorrow.

That doesn't change the fact that what you say is incorrect.
During the very early morning hours of Easter, late Saturday night, the Lead Moderator came onto the thread and expelled three Calvinists. At that point, the Lead Moderator THREATENED ALL CALVINISTS WITH PERMANENT EXPULSION FROM FREE REPUBLIC.
It's to FR's credit that this threat was taken seriously by us. We don't want to shut down any threads, and we don't want to be kicked off the forum.
Questions and rumblings followed by all parties still on line. I then posted A RESPONSE TO THE MODERATOR who was addressing all Calvinists in his post. I did that out of courtesy as much as anything else.
But YOU, Quester, have admitted you spoke with the moderator that night.
By your own words, YOU were the one who brought the Moderators in, and did so because of some peculiar, self-described "conspiracy."
If you keep up this maligning of motives and twisting of facts, then, in Christian concern, I have to question your motives.
Not very compelling - whether you agree with him today or not.
Why don't you just keep your snide remarks to yourself. I'm getting sick of them.
From my personal experience that is a difficult thing to do and can result in painful disruptions in marriages and with the family. It is not something to make fun of. Smarten up.
It's too bad you can't find the millions of "Christians" who have just dropped out in disgust with their Church. Imagine how much "fun" you could have with them.
Just because I get along with ONE that is ONE Calvinist at least she now and than answers my reply don't treat me like I have kooties!

Obviously, the mod's were already here by that time.
Thanks to a friend, I've now had a chance to review the posts on that pulled thread. drstevej never posted to that thread, despite your accusations Restornu. Who told you he "had a meltdown"? Why are you participating in spreading falsehoods and slander about him?
I strongly urge you to ping the mods on yourself, and pull your post #3741.
Ah, so THIS is what you guys meant by describing the NES as a friendly, gracious, open, respectful, intelligent thread.

You can try to spin reality any way you want.
Anyone with the patience to read back through these posts can plainly see how the night unfolded and what was said when.
Now, if this thread is mysteriously pulled at this point, my conspiracy radar will go into over-drive, wondering if YOU had the thread pulled in order to cover the truth.
So again, no Calvinist hits the abuse button nor gets threads pulled. And we only ping Mods in response to THEIR summons.
Whatever number this post ends up, I'm going to remember it.
