The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Look, I have never said I have all the answers. You don't either. I have what is most important down good though. I believe God loves us all very much and wants us to love him too. Who would send their son to die for someone elses sins? Would you?
I don't think any of us can comprehend how much he truly loves us. . Over the last two days from some of the posts I'm reading I'm supposed to accept that this wonderful being is actually a boogy man? He's someone who destroys half? (, yall got a % yet?) of what he makes on a whim, no he plans to destroy before he even creates and now he has no special provisions for the ones that aren't able to determine between good and evil?
I don't think so.

with the exception of 2, God only brought the under 20 crowd out of the wilderness. They weren't held accountable . So is everyone under 20 , under the age of accountability?

I never said I had all the answers. However, I don't invent theology just because I can't explain something. The "age of accountability" is manufactured theology.
"I'm supposed to accept that this wonderful being is actually a boogy man?"
God is NOT a boogy man-nor is He someone to pal around with. He is our holy, sovereign God who deserves our continual worship because He watches over those who He has choosen and provides for our needs.

We had a discussion about this here, awhile back. I thought you were part of the debate. Can't remember. Anyway, There are some really bad kids now and even in the OT so I guess it's not new. David went to his infant son. I don't have an age answer but I believe we serve a just God that takes care of the little ones. I believe the best answer is to raise them to love the Lord from the beginning and to just trust Him and not worry too much about this, you know.

...and now he has no special provisions for the ones that aren't able to determine between good and evil.WHAT!?! I keep making the mistake of thinking you're actually reading these posts.
YOU are the one who has NO ANSWER for the "those that aren't able to determine between good and evil."
You were just offered, several times, the Calvinist position that gives an accounting of God's "special provision" for those people.
It's clear you have NO answer, but you feel justified to trash ours.
It figures.

Is pal the same as friend?
To: CindyDawg; HarleyD; RnMomof7
Pal and Friend are equals to each other and to you, so you should feel free to use them interchangeably.
God is your pal. Thus, God is your equal.

I'm not trashing anything. I was asked a question and gave an honest answer. I'm sorry you didn't like it. I find yalls beliefs interesting. Not acceptable for me but interesting. I'm not allowed to post what I believe in return though if it differs from what you believe? I don't understand the anger. We do this all the x here and nobody gets mad (well not for long anyway:')

Matt.18
1 AT the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

What about Jesus saying He is our friend though? I though maybe pal was equivalent more like a compadre or something to yall. That's why I asked.
To: HarleyD
I would disagree. God gave Noah specific dimensions and instructions on building the ark. Presumably enough to hold all the animals, Noah's family and probably some food. If it was up to men to choose how would God know how big to build the ark? God gave a way for Noah and his family to be saved only. What is interesting , that most of us do not think about is that the ark took hundreds of years to build. It was most likely started before Noah even had family . So the other people saw Noah labor day and night for hundreds of years and not one other person chose to believe that ark was necessary , no one but the one chosen by God had the faith to believe in something they had never seen (rain) .
There was no rush to the ark to be saved by faith .

Yeah. I don't know if there is a magic number or not. What about the mentally disabled as they age? These are very reassuring verses though. Thanks. Hey maybe you need to lighten things up with some pictures now and then. Things getting intense at xs and you know what that means.lol My pal not here to chat with me anymore and I miss the breaks :')
To: HarleyD
Harley , you keep making lights go on.
When the world was destroyed , God said that the thoughts of man were continually wicked .....but He did not tell Noah to build a dingy to pull behind for the "innocent , unaccountability children. " . The children were as guilty of the evil thoughts as the adults...and so they were also destroyed.
Same thing in Sodom ..God was asked to spare the city if there were just 10 righteous in that thriving city of men , women , children and infants ...and not 10 were found. They were all destroyed because they were evil in the Holy eyes of God. There is no free pass for infants , children , the retarded etc . All men everywhere are saved only by the Grace of God..NEVER on their own merits

I don't think so. Cindy did God create men that He knew by His foreknowledge would never repent and believe. Did God not create them specifically for hell?
What is it in man that God "owes " them a chance" .Is God mans debtor?

Foreordained = Premoral (before mortal)
***
To foreordained is to determine or appoint beforehand;
Now that would have to take place before Mortality!:)

I hear what you are saying and I understand that many were killed but that wasn't my question. Did these children go to hell upon their death?.
To: HarleyD
God is NOT a boogy man-nor is He someone to pal around with. He is our holy, sovereign God who deserves our continual worship because He watches over those who He has choosen and provides for our needThis I believe comes from the Theology that God made man because He was lonely and needed someone to love. So it can be reasoned that man must be the center of God thoughts , instead of God the center of mans thoughts.
