The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Didn't have to be a mess. I thought the whole point in this thread has been that people needed thicker skin and ... never, never call the mods. The same ones calling for thicker skin are the very ones calling the mods. Yes, AAABest crossed the line, BUT I thought we were just supposed to let stuff like that roll off our backs. Remember?

Per the othet thread, yes its possible the US could be that woman. I thought CD was referencing the other. Quoting the actual verses help to avoid misunderstandings. Thanks Quester.

Gee, I didn't realize I was so popular.
Sorry to spoil the party but after listening to those two constantly bash Catholics and Catholicism one is bound to respond.
I'm working on my patience and have ignored their spitballs to the back of the head many, many times. However, I'm not a saint, or anything close to one.

I'm out of here for awhile until the trouble makers get bored and go disrupt elsewhere..My hands are tied. I can't stay here and read these posts and see someone gloat that IMO should have been banned and honor Beckys request too. Too much like the other religious threads right now. Dave, you going to make excuses and just give him a pass too? I would have tore into another baptist that posted such hate. Anyway that's me though. Later CD

No Saint? Means a long time in purgatory.
You should really come out of the Catholic church, they don't teach whats found in the bible you know?
If you would like I can do a bible study with you and show you what God would have you to REALLY know and act upon.

Sorry to spoil the party but after listening to those two constantly bash Catholics and Catholicism one is bound to respond. Just so you know, I agree with much that they post pertaining to the RCC. You should also know that just because people have great reservations about the RCC doesn't mean that the individual members of the RCC are 'bad' or to blame.
While what you said was not very nice, I realize that it was 'just your opinion' and that is probably what you should have said with your post, that in your opinion, blah, blah...
Other than that, I think not being a regular to the thread made your comments more 'offensive', but that is just my opinion.

In looking again your post:
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Here the woman is described as having a remnant that 'keep the commandments'. Looks to me like the woman spoken of here, may be Israel and her remnant (the lost sheep) that Yehoshua sent the apostles to. When he said that he told them not to go to the gentiles, but instead to go to the lost sheep.
The 4th commandment is broken by most christians so, the remnant keeping the commandments may very well be Jews. The testimony of Yehoshua may refer to his support of the commandments and how he instructed people to keep the commandments for 'eternal life'. jmo

There is NO commandment to keep Sunday holy in the NT. I think the 4th commandment may be key in spotting the AC when the time comes. The commandments are 'eternal'.
I think this is key also (surprise!).
No surprise there Doug! :)
I see it happening like this: There is a going to be a big backlash against immorality...especially homosexual marriage...worldwide. As things go further and further downhill, the antichrist will appear as a great leader who will appear to be a strong Christian leader. Eventually everyone outside of mainstream Christianity will be painted as "anti-Christ". People will be persecuted if don't believe what binds traditional Christianity together...i.e. Sunday worship and a belief in the trinity. It will come to a point where:
Joh 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogue. But an hour is coming that everyone who kills you will think that he bears God service.
But it's just my opinion, I could be very wrong about specifics.
I'd say your synopsis is pretty close to mine and others. Any differences in the details are minor, and the main players seem to be the same.
