Welcome to the Canteen Music Dedication. Each week we bring our troops, their families, and friends a variety of music. We appreciate any and all feedback. If you have any music requests, please FReepmail, email, or post on the thread any requests. We will try to acommodate as many as possible. We hope you like the new layout of the Canteen Music Dedication. We try to provide a variety of songs for everyone to listen to. If you aren't sure about an artist, please avoid clicking the album cover. We try to give you as many musical choices as possible. There are some songs that are highly offensive. If you choose to click on them and are offended, please keep in mind that we have already warned you. So? Please choose carefully. Thank You! |
BETH'S MUSIC MIX (music selection) |
Just A Thought As much as I'd like to believe that I'm as hip as Beth and MoJo, I'm not. So? If you look over the Current Music (MoJo's section) and Beth's Music Mix and you find that this isn't your style of music, please go to the music below. The kids don't want to offend anyone and begged me to tell all of you. So? For the sake of your eardrums and mine, please don't complain if you listen to music that is not intended for the "distinguished" members of our society. That would be all of you in my generation. (MoJo and Beth would consider us "old", but we all know better.)---DJ Ma |
MUSIC "DID YOU KNOW" |
*Axl Rose, Guns N Roses lead, used to teach Sunday School. *Brad Nowell, late lead singer of Sublime, formed his first band at the age of 13. The name of the band? Hogan's Heroes. |

The rest is history. *The band decided on the name Aerosmith because it was the only name they didn't hate. *In 1988, Steven Tyler hurt himself while performing in Anchorage, Alaska. (Hello Ma!) *Steven Tyler is the father of actress Liv Tyler. |
Check back next week for a full list from DJ Beth. |

Ahh... the weekend.
Our last BBQ today.
The house painting is finally finished.
The garden and trees are in the process of being "winterized."
So, let it snow (but not yet)!

I'm feeling a bit conflicted by some of the things James Bradley (the author of
Flyboys) said, but if you're interested, they're now talking about The Veteran's History Project on C-Span2's BookTV.org.

No worries Auntie Fawnn. James Bradley is a liberal. That's why he's so darn confusing!

James Bradley is a liberal.
I sort of figured that out. ;)
He didn't comment on a distorted question posed by a guy in the audience. Funny how they always fall back on the "Thou shall not kill" when it comes to OUR military (and fail to acknowledge that the proper translation of that commandment is acutally "Thou shall not MURDER").
Just posted this in the FReepathon thread. I'll do it here, and then quit with the political stuff. ;)

Good afternoon, Aeronaut and Otto, and thank you both for your dedication to the flyover of protection for our troops' Canteen, a place where we offer a "touch of home" for our troops, our veterans, their families, and our allies.
Really cool plane today. Hope Otto gets to go. Have a good weekend with Mrs Aeronaut and Luke.
