A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Tri tip is a cut of meat cut form the bottom of the sirloin that I've only heard of in California. It is a favorite for cook outs.I googled a while back to find the cut of meat.Texans love brisket barbecue,Californians do tri tip.

GOD MUST BE A COWBOY AT HEART
I found the peace that I was needin'
In the West Texas town called Eden.
A little further down the road in old San Angelo,
The views prepared me for that heavenly glow.
God loves Texas and tucks it in bed at night
With a soft blanket of clouds, oh, what a sight!
I've got wide open spaces where I can roam
Just like the vastness of that eternal home.
Texas must be a lot like glory
Where I'll be singin' the old, old story.
Where God finger paints in the big blue sky
And the soul passes over never more to die.
A man can settle down in a place like Ranger.
Away from the big city noise and danger.
There's no way a man can be more free
Except for when he kneels at Calvary.
Friend you may never ride the plains with me,
But turn and gaze right now, upon that old rugged tree.
Call upon Jesus to save you, then you'll know
Heaven's where you'll land, when thrown from life's rodeo.
Texas must be a lot like glory
Where I'll be singin' the old, old story.
Where God finger paints in the big blue sky And the soul passes over never more to die.

Good afternoon Mama and all. Please have a safe and happy weekend.

You don't have to own a cat for this one...
A couple was dressed and ready to go out for the evening. They turned on a night light, turned the answering machine on, covered their pet parakeet and put the cat in the backyard.
They phoned the local cab company and requested a taxi. The taxi arrived and the couple opened the front door to leave their house. The cat that they had just put out, scoots back into the house.
They don't want the cat shut in the house because "she" always tries to eat the bird. The wife goes out to the taxi while the husband goes inside to get the cat. The cat runs upstairs, the man in hot pursuit.
The wife doesn't want the driver to know the house will be empty. She explains to the taxi driver that her husband will be out soon. He is just going upstairs to say goodbye to my mother."
A few minutes later, the husband gets into the cab. "Sorry I took so long," he says, as they drive away.
"Stupid so and so was hiding under the bed. Had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out! Then I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching me. But it worked. I hauled her fat butt downstairs and threw her out into the back yard!"
The cabdriver hit a parked car...

Evening to all. Had a lovely afternoon with the TriState Freepers today. As ugly as the weather was, it had enough calm points so we didn't get our day spoiled.
Prayers for your friend's mom Dixie.
Thanks for the Tri Tip tip Duthess.
Hope your luncheon was lovely Lori.
I should have a nice surprise for you when you return lonestar.
LadyX, you didn't happen to pick me up milk when you went for groceries, huh?

I saw the ping. I don't want to read it until after my kids are asleep.
I have a few heartwrenchers too. Maybe I'll post them next anniversary. Not ready to yet.

Appreciate the quote with your excellent coffee.
Most can recite the first line of it, but not the rest!
Beliefs alone cannot prevail without supporting actions - - -
wise men and women understand the intention of evil is to oercome and devour the good.
Peaceniks are something like the grains of sand on the shore of the ocean, lying there proclaiming the beauty of their Ideal State.
Reality is the waves (evil) have no respect for their 'beliefs' and erode them into oblivion......
They wimp out and declare "PEACE, MAN - GOD IS LOVE," unwilling to do anything to ensure it..
They handily forget God sent men into battle against evil!
Joshua and David come to mind - - -
May He watch over and bless those who are willing to sacrifice personal comfort for the good of all...
