Did Anyone See TLC's "911:The President's Story" tonight?
Posted on 09/11/2003 7:22:08 PM PDT by Rander7
I just watched the program "911: The Story of the President" on TLC. It was magnificent! It showed what a tremendous man our President is! It follows him from the AM of the 11th, when he got word of what happened while he was in Florida, up to the end of the first week following the terrorist attacks. It will be reaired at 11PM EDT.

I caught the second half of it. It was indeed magnificent. I'm watching the show on the attack on the Pentagon right now. That's good to hear that the show will be re-aired at 11: I'll be able to catch the first half before bed.

Yes, Rander7.
I saw parts of it, and it made me cry all over again.
How in the hell can this man NOT be loved by every American, after seeing the footage??
You know full well that Clinton would have politicized 9-11 continually. What has GWB done? He has quietly gone about the business of being Commander in Chief, and to hell with the public opinion polls. This is a sure sign of a leader, no matter what the media/libs try to say.

Watching DC 9-11 on Showtime as I missed the last part the other night.

did you see the look on Hillary's and Bill's faces during the worship service at the National Cathedral? It was obvious to me, they were thinking, this guy ( President Bush) is going to be a hero in the country...why couldn't his have happened on our "watch"? They are revolting! But a trmendous program non the less!!

It was truly phenomenal-It should be required viewing for the entire nation. The whole show I was saying to myself "Thank God that Gore didn't win."
I loved when he told Cheney "Dick we are going to find out who did this and we are going to kick their ass".

I've been watching it almost from the beginning, thanks to a heads up from SuzanneC. It's amazing...much I didn't know about, and much more that I had forgotten or blocked out. One thing for certain, it's a testament to courage.
The replay from the beginning begins at 11 pm EST. This should be taped and kept for all time. .
But I bet liberals and Bush haters can not stand to recall how this country and this president handled the horror of that day, and how the bond between us came to be.

Yes, excellent program and well worth watching. The part about Air Force One on 9/11 was very interesting...they edited out the screams of the howler monkeys (the Democrats who accused President Bush of cowardice because he didn't immediately fly back to Washington, D.C.).

DC 9-11 on Showtime is an excellent movie, as well.
The producer was interviewed on Michael Savage's radio program tonite (2nd hour). If you can catch it on re-run, it is worth the listen. The producer said he tried for exact accuracy in every, based on extensive interviews, including a lengthy interview with GWB.

Watch the documentary later tonight and it matches DC 911 almost perfectly. The scene where he's just got the word on the second tower, it looks like the tower is falling on him for a few seconds. Then you see the steel and fire start to come out. Don't think thats ever been caught on film with a president before. He's transformed before your eyes into the Commander in Chief.

I saw it a couple of nights ago. Amazing to see something of its quality and patriotism on Showtime.
