I'm trying really hard not to get angry with my coworkers who seem to have forgotten. Gently remind them that every innocent person who perished that day was a WORKING PERSON - someone who was on the job at 9am. Aren't they who the lefties are always claiming that conservatives do not care about?

Never forget Bump.
While it is probably imposable and probably unwise if possible to retain the same emotion we felt that day, we must never fully lose the shock, the anger, or even, the fear. The world changed forever that day; we lost a, naïve but comfortable, innocence. We must, not only, never forget the victims and the crime, we must also never forget that we are and will continue to be vulnerable.
We must continue to make the difficult choices between security and liberty; realizing that it is always a balance and going to far in favor of one will make the other worthless. To do less is to devalue those who died on that day and those who died since fighting those who took joy in their deaths.

Thank you jriemer. It is a hurt that will never go away; a sadness of loss and the bewilderment of why there are those who would do such harm to a giving, and loving people; an anger that there were those sworn to protect us and they did not and today they tear away at the very strength of this nation, her people and their President. They make the pain worse with every belittling thing they say about this great nation. Thanks to the posters with their pictures reminding us all what we are now about the determination to rid the country and the world of the abominable and cowardly terrorist who attack free men everywhere.
God Bless George W. Bush for showing the world that America and Americans will not let these people, caught in the cross hairs of evil, ever be forgotten nor let terrorists everywhere go unpunished. Keep focused; it will be a long fight.

The death knell for radical islam sounded the morning of September 11, 2001
God rest the souls taken from us that day.
Scrolling down and reading these posts, I still shudder and wipe tears. And remain terrified that there are still so many in power who have the ability to end terrorism in one swift vote, that
still don't get it...Crush Terrorism in both talons!

911 has left a lasting impression on our youth and our youth was lsoing it's way. My nephew Anthony just left for Marine bootcamp Saturday and we are all so proud of him! Just graduated HS, a baby but a grown man!

I heard the son was killed on that plane but the husband/father was either late for work or off that day.

It is said..that some nations Flags...were designed before Him who dwells in Light resplendent.
America..Her Flag ..conveys that of a servant,,sent out into the Earth.
A White background...the sign of Righteousness and Character.
Are laid Red Stripes..the shedding of Blood and suffering for the cause of others.
On a raised Background of Blue [Heaven].
The White Stars gathered.... [Americas citizen's]
No nation in its history has sent so many sons and daughters into harms way ..for others.
This is Americas calling...to be a Light of Freedom...and a Rampart of Resolve.
On Sept 11th..the darkness tried to remove Americas Light,
but it could not.

I didn't see the one that the little girl in California did. The one of the Statue of Liberty holding a child and a pistol. I think the caption said "Never come between a mother and her child."

Is this the picture you mean?
I received it via e-mail without "source" info, so I apologize that I'm not sure who to credit for the drawing.

Thank you so much for all your hard work on this memorial thread. As painful as it still is, we must all remember, never forgetting the evil cowards who snuffed out so many innocent and wonderful lives.

I lost a friend in Tower 1 ...great guy, Kevin Murphy..left behind is a little girl and boy, and his wife Beth. They all lost a terrific father and husband and those who knew him lost a friend. I will never4get what these evil people did to us. I feel it is that important that we fight terrorism and those countries supporting terrorism with everything we have to safeguard my children, all children, America's future. For those who believe we have brought terrorism on to ourselves they are either ignorant or just plain stupid and I feel no real need to give any merit to such stupidity. I pray one day God can help me remove the hatred I feel towrds those people who did this and now continue in their efforts to kill more innocent lives. You are not fortgotten Kevin.
