Has anyone else been put on ping lists without their knowledge? (VANITY)

Sorry for the vanity, but lately I've been getting put on ping lists that I never asked to be on. I was wondering if this has happened to any other FReepers. Anybody else having this problem?

The Moose Bit My Sister stuff is from Monty Python = The Holy Grail (check out the credits)
and actually, the Viking Kittens were a really cool flash animation that featured a bunch of kittens dressed as vikings rockin along to The Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin - The Admin Mods appropriated a few screen shots to use for Zotting...

Just ask to be removed, I do about six times a year. I too grow tired of it however and think I will start a ping list of those who have add me, unasked to theirs. I will then ping them to threads that are about to get the ZOT! ;-)

Yes, some ask some don't. If you don't want to be on a ping list, you can private freep mail to be removed. I've met some GREAT freepers from being added w/o permission.
It really is no big deal.

You seem to have misinterpreted my previous post.
As a hard core PINGER muself, I love being pinged to interesting threads by others here.
I would MUCH RATHER delete pings to a dozen dull threads, rather than miss one EXTRAORDINARY thread.
I only posted the old "Did I ask to be Pinged?" thread to show that there is very little NEW on this forum. :o)
(Plus, it had some great keywords...)
