Wesley Clark Admits He Lied

Wesley Clark admitted the White House DID NOT pressure him to lie that Iraq was behind 9/11. He now admits it was a Canadian think tank.
Previously, Clark had insisted that the White House called him, as the towers were falling, to pressure Clark to go national that Iraq was behind the attack. He has backed off that claim and admits he was "confused".

I never believed him in the first place. Glad my gut instinct was right. He should lose his D**m pension for doing that.

http://www.fair.org/press-releases/clark-iraq.html CLARK: "There was a concerted effort during the fall of 2001, starting immediately after 9/11, to pin 9/11 and the terrorism problem on Saddam Hussein."
RUSSERT: "By who? Who did that?"
CLARK: "Well, it came from the White House, it came from people around the White House. It came from all over. I got a call on 9/11. I was on CNN, and I got a call at my home saying, 'You got to say this is connected. This is state-sponsored terrorism. This has to be connected to Saddam Hussein.' I said, 'But--I'm willing to say it, but what's your evidence?' And I never got any evidence."

Funny, everything I recall was x43 saying it wasn't Iraq, and denying Iraqi connections to the anthrax. Everything for ending the 12 year war with Saddam related to other terrorism, and weapons, and ending the quagmire - which 9/11 provided the fire in the belly to do.

Yup, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. I have seen him on cable news shows recently and he has exposed himself to so much heat-- his appearances are replete with flip-flops and obvious mendacity. Cheney will fillet him in a Veep debate.
