I never believed him in the first place. Glad my gut instinct was right. He should lose his D**m pension for doing that.

http://www.fair.org/press-releases/clark-iraq.html CLARK: "There was a concerted effort during the fall of 2001, starting immediately after 9/11, to pin 9/11 and the terrorism problem on Saddam Hussein."
RUSSERT: "By who? Who did that?"
CLARK: "Well, it came from the White House, it came from people around the White House. It came from all over. I got a call on 9/11. I was on CNN, and I got a call at my home saying, 'You got to say this is connected. This is state-sponsored terrorism. This has to be connected to Saddam Hussein.' I said, 'But--I'm willing to say it, but what's your evidence?' And I never got any evidence."
___________________________________
Funny, everything I recall was x43 saying it wasn't Iraq, and denying Iraqi connections to the anthrax. Everything for ending the 12 year war with Saddam related to other terrorism, and weapons, and ending the quagmire - which 9/11 provided the fire in the belly to do.

Bump!

Yup, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. I have seen him on cable news shows recently and he has exposed himself to so much heat-- his appearances are replete with flip-flops and obvious mendacity. Cheney will fillet him in a Veep debate.

What a POS that Clark is. And I don't even think I used that phrase for Clinton!

As if Wesley Clark crossed the mind of anyone in the White House on 9/11/01.

Yes! I loved when they discussed why he was fired by Clinton and Cohen.

He has backed off that claim and admits he was "confused".That's what insane people often do when forced to confront reality. He's probably blathering to himself in some dark room right now, vowing vengence against "them" (after having smashed some office furniture and spewing miscellaneous threats like he normally does, of course).

He has backed off that claim and admits he was "confused". If he was a Republican, or most anything but Dem or Green, his political career would be over, before it even begins. But for those two categories, being "confused" seems to be a pre-requisite for high office. At the very least, it's career enhancing.

Caught it. Brit lead the panel well in regards to the Clark statement. The consensus was that Clark, as a presidential wannabe, had mis-spoke!
The snippet at the end of the program was a hoot! Letterman is commenting on the race and says, "Bustamante is in the lead. How can that be? He's never been in a movie!"
To: Peach
Of course, they did mention that he almost started WW III, because he didn't want the Russians beating to an Airport.
Thank god the Brit Brigadier sood up to him.
BTW is it me or is he French looking?
