The guy doing the Clintonista spinning worked for an administration that spent eight years going backwards on energy outlays.

Beer in fridge still cold! Food survived. Dinner last night was made on a good old reliable Coleman camp stove on the balcony. With beer, of course.
Should be an interesting day...people being told to stay home unless essential work; I'll be in but probably Freep all day (this is new?).
Best wishes all!

The computer we bought from my son's friend did not have current patches nor antivirus software. It is infected with a virus that is sophisticated enough to terminate an installation of Norton Antivirus or PC-Cillin. I'm too tired to screw with it anymore tonight. I'm going to wipe the Windows 2000 off the disk and replace it with the Windows XP Home that my son is running on his current computer. His current computer will be slicked and updated with Windows XP home that his older brother is running on a PII 300. I'm just going to remove the good components from the PII 300 and run it back to the local recycler. That should wipe out most of Saturday. My wife and I are going to visit Yellowstone Park on Sunday.
People who write viruses should be locked in a level 5 biocontainment room and infected with ebola. Their remains should be incinerated and flushed down a toilet.

Looking at Manhattan, it looked like power was partially but not fully restored at that time. But I think it's all going now.

4-29-02 FLASHBACK
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A fire at a power plant at Talleyrand, along with two major transmission lines going down, has resulted in a major outage of electricity throughout the city. JEA spokesman Bruce Dugan told Channel 4 just before 5 p.m. that a fire at the Kennedy Generating Station occured simultaniously as two major transmission lines connecting Jacksonville to the power grid went out. Dugan said that the whole city was out initially. He said about 15 percent of service has been restored, and most should be back up in two to three hours.
Now will someone tell me why this is now being reported that LIGHTING was the cause of the outage here in JAX on 4-29-02.
I've heard it reported by 2 or 3 news agencies, News4Jax , Firstcoast news, and NPR.
What the heck????? is going on.????
