Hannity station went dead for about 20 seconds. Said he had never seen anything like it.

How the hell would the Canadians even know if a lightning struck anything in the U.S, they are not here.

AMEN sister! I still carry my small swiss army knife on my keys. Practically dared the security guard at Carowinds amusement park to take it away from me recently. Told him I was there as a chaperone, a single woman travelling alone with a crowd of large teen-age boys. He let me keep it.

She said it's PUMPED electrically, not pressurized. It's a small difference, but pumped is definitely more accurate than pressurized.

Hillary is a typical liberal woman. There is nothing she can do right now(it is quite obvious that she is out of the decision loop), so she is busy whining and harping. Unfortunately for us, instead of neighbors, she gets to harp on national tv.

Get this. The looneys at DU think this was all a Bush conspiracy to stop Hitlery's appearance tonight on "The Daily Show".Bwahahahaha! (wiping tears from eyes) Why am I NOT surprised!!

Hey, what are the odds that a power outage with NO DISCERNIBLE CAUSE would happen as the president was en route to a FUUNDRAISER in California, home of the fabled Grayout Davis and that miraculously, Hillary Cliton, Bill Richardson, and Gray Davis would all be available to comment to CNN and MSNBC and would talk about how THEY wanted to improve the infrastructure and ENRON caused part of this?
And that Drudge would immediately start carping about the President being in California at a fundraiser? And that Pataki, who is Governor of the most-affected state, would get 5 minutes, followed by the Terrible Trio for the rest of the hour?
I wonder if their story was going to be lightning, and Chretien jumped the gun (he's in on it too as far as I'm concerned) but now they are having to cover up their story because there was no lighning.
Well, this sounds remarkably tin-foilish, but I sure do wonder if rather than a squirrel in a transformer it was a RAT that caused the outage.
Now I am leaving the Twilight Zone, but I am still suspicious...

ok

As was pointed out earlier, they will only boil water on gas, not electric, stoves.

CNN says most power back by 1am ESTTwo hours? I find that hard to believe. I hope it's true, but sheesh, Bloomberg said the same thing four hours ago.

The RATS always project. See my post above for the REAL plot! LOL!

And Larry King did not challenge one statement made by hillary, Richardson or Davis. It was pathetic! I told another freeper that all three cable networks could have just held up a sign that said, "BUSH KNEW"...I am really in rant mode. Time to calm down or I won't sleep tonight.

Hey prairie, unlike the undercovered ice storm that left me without power in Western Michigan for days last winter, this has left us essentially untouched. Anyway, I am curious, how is Hillary finding a way to blame Bush? It never occurred to me to blame someone, was it his turn to flip some switch today?

I hope so, too. Having been through several depresserizations with water systems, I consider it SOP.
