[history]
Joining the legions of national figures weighing in on California's wild gubernatorial recall, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said Sunday that his civil rights organization will work in the next two months on a ``double no'' campaign to defeat both the recall and Proposition 54, which would ban the collection of racial data in California.

Pam Kelly, an endorser of the RPI, asked me to post the following with a repost of the article.
Ward has posted to me in response to FR and the (Prop 54 Where Are you!) for posting at FR:
"Nothing pleases me more than to have the Reverend Jesse Jackson coming to California to oppose Proposition 54, as he did Proposition 209. I will happily share some of my frequent flier miles with him to come to California anytime he wants, because his presence virtually assures our success. Mr. Jackson is so out of touch with the mainstream of California that those Californians who have not heard about Proposition 54 or who have been undecided until now will take Mr. Jackson's opposition as a cue to support our initiative
Ward Connerly.
If anyone has questions if this is legitimate -- please to email Jennifer at Ward Connerly's office: jh@acri.org

``There is no malfeasance, corruption or treason,'' he said of the recall. ``This is an attempt to disrupt the government.''Treason may be questionable, but there is definitely malfeasance and corruption.

Thanks for the post, FO!
Here's another conservative grass-roots initiative that's going to defy the out-of-state experts and win big in "too liberal" California.

The No on 54 campaign is seeking Republican candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger's position through Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy, the uncle of Schwarzenegger's wife, Maria Shriver.Say what? They can't just ask Arnold?

would allow the use of racial classification in some instances, including police identifying suspects, prisons assigning prisoners, and in the case of ``medical research subjects and patients.''

They have seized on the measure's potential impact on health care, saying epidemiological studies are based on a wide range of statistics, including birth and death certificates and law enforcement data.
Either the supporters or the detractors have no idea what the law actually does. I'd go with the latter.

Jessie Hijack can stay out of California the stupid creep. I am sick to death of outsiders like him and the slimey Clinton's butting into the constitutional law being followed by the citizens. They will all be here encouraging fraud to take place, which is the only way the rats will keep the state house.

I imagine that one day Jessie Jackson will be rendered to political oblivion. He is part of the problem and not the solution.
