If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

Looks like Mom and Logan passed out early. Too much apple juice I suppose.
I'll keep praying for him next week.

Too adorable!!! This is probably the time our little munchkin would be about a month old, and look at him!! He's already another year older --- {BIG G}. Dear Lord, please send your angels to deliver him healing and relief from any more anaesthesia, protect him and hold him in Your loving arms. Amen. GO LOGAN GO!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR OF YOUR LIFE!! And Happy New Year to all our Wonderful LoganLovers.

I love that little face. He is in my prayers for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery. I know you will allow us to wait and pray with you during his surgery. May God send his angels to watch over our little hero.

Logan, Happy New Year to you!!
About the hydrocele -- my friend's son (now 7) had one. I think it was even bigger than Logan's. Please think twice about surgical intervention. As much as it might hurt you all to look at it, they usually go away with no complications at all. My friends did nothing (except get it looked at of course) and it eventually went down. He is a perfectly normal boy now. If you have any specific questions, ask me and I will ask them. I am forgetting exactly how long it took to go down. Logan, sending you lots of love, sweetie!!!

Thanks for the update TexasCowboy.
Lord, you are the Mighty Healer. We know you have your loving arms around Logan now. Hold him near You. Be with the doctors and nurses as they take care of them.
We pray also that you be near Logan's family as they go through another trying time. Give them comfort and ease their burden.

Thank you, Yaelle, for your reassuring perspective on this new development.
Concentrated prayers go forth for God to shrink this area without any need for surgical intervention....
Father, we come before you with our praise and thanks for all You have demonstrated through this precious child.
Please overcome this need, and heal his little lungs so he can breathe freely and be more comfortable.
We long for him to relax and to be able to laugh with delight with each new and wonderful day, surrounded by the love of many - and filled with Your Love.
Amen.

To: Yaelle
Thanks, Yaelle.
I know sometimes these things look a lot worse than they are. It just depends on what kind of hydrocele it is.
A recurring hydrocele of a certain type must be corrected surgically just like a hernia.
They are also associated with bouts of throwing up, which little Logan does a lot of!
We'll just have to wait to see what the doctor lady says, and pray that it's nothing to worry about.
To: TexasCowboy; Eaker
Today & tomorrow ( 1/3 & 1/4) are extremely horrible days for me - (1/3 because I know what is coming; 1/4 because that is the anniversary of my younger brother's death). Jan. 4 is also a horrible day because it is the day I learned that my grandmother had no chance of survival.
At this moment, and every free moment in my head, I will ask those in Heaven to please, please, watch out for this beautiful baby boy - he has struggled so hard in his short life, always with a gorgeous smile - please, make his life easier. Also, God - please, rest the hearts of this dear childs parents!
To: TheMom; TexasCowboy
TheMom was also 9 months pregnant with our son so she could not make her wonderful brother's funeral.
Broke her heart not to be able to be there.
Her prayers are always heartfelt, right now I believe that she has a good connection with the Lord.
Logan, as always, I am in your corner.

We are so sorry for the sorrow that is in your heart. It is so apparent how much love you have for both your brother and your grandmother. God was so good to give you each other for however long to love, wasn't He? Loves that you might not have known.
Thank you for your prayers for me and my family. When we are suffering, and in pain, my Nana says it takes someone capable of great compassion and love to pray for someone else. We too will pray for you and give thanks for both you and Eaker.
God bless you both...
