Logan, Happy New Year to you!!

About the hydrocele -- my friend's son (now 7) had one. I think it was even bigger than Logan's. Please think twice about surgical intervention. As much as it might hurt you all to look at it, they usually go away with no complications at all. My friends did nothing (except get it looked at of course) and it eventually went down. He is a perfectly normal boy now. If you have any specific questions, ask me and I will ask them. I am forgetting exactly how long it took to go down. Logan, sending you lots of love, sweetie!!!

Thank you, Yaelle, for your reassuring perspective on this new development.
Concentrated prayers go forth for God to shrink this area without any need for surgical intervention....

Father, we come before you with our praise and thanks for all You have demonstrated through this precious child.
Please overcome this need, and heal his little lungs so he can breathe freely and be more comfortable.

We long for him to relax and to be able to laugh with delight with each new and wonderful day, surrounded by the love of many - and filled with Your Love.

Amen.

Thanks, Yaelle.
I know sometimes these things look a lot worse than they are. It just depends on what kind of hydrocele it is.
A recurring hydrocele of a certain type must be corrected surgically just like a hernia.
They are also associated with bouts of throwing up, which little Logan does a lot of!

We'll just have to wait to see what the doctor lady says, and pray that it's nothing to worry about.
