If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

My family will be praying for Logan. It seems we've prayed a lot for preemies this summer - our friend's brother had a child in May who was born at 26 weeks. 1 lb. 12 oz., he came home in July and is doing fine. Our next door neighbor had a little one about 8 weeks early and who weighed in at just over three pounds. She was only in the hospital for a few days before she came home.

May we all look back on this day and grin, when Logan is playing tackle for the Dolphins.

That pic brings back memories. My nephew was premature (not that early, though). He's just turning 6 now. Prayers for Logan.

WONDERFUL news about Logan! I'll continue in prayer for the little guy...for strength and wellness. :o)
Oh...and please DO keep us updated!
To: Brad's Gramma
Thanks for the update. My son was a premee at 3 pounds (not quite as small as Logan) and lost weight initially and had a hernia as well, it then took a little more then a month till he got to 4 pounds and they let him come home, just in time for his first Christmas. He is now five and is my pride and joy. Tell your friend to hang in there and pray and I'll keep Logan in my continued prayers as well. Getting off the ventilator is great news! God Bless.

LOL!!! Don't go looking M0sby. I am talking about butters in Hong Kong. It's our traditional size here since the 50's. All butter cubes are 8 oz. in wax paper wrapper. No box. Anyway, my cube = 2 x your cubes. Therefore, I probably have two times the cholesterol than you do. LOL!!
Cheers! Keep praying and bless you!

Dear Brad's Gramma...prayers offered for this baby. Thanks for the ping, Tonk. dlfromthedesert, thought you might like to see this.
If I recall correctly, dlfromthedesert has stated on another thread that he/she works with little ones in a NICU and that miracles are so often forthcoming there. These little ones have a great will to be here.
Dear God in Heaven,
Bless this great little soul Logan who is putting up such a fight to stay alive. Bless and inspire and guide his doctors and nurses as they direct his care. Help his different systems develop rapidly and perfectly. Comfort and strengthen his precious family and loving friends. We welcome Logan into this realm and pray for his protection and healing so that he may fully complete whatever assignments you have given him. We petition you for a miracle, and we are grateful for your loving answer.
Father, multiply our prayers to cover any and all who are in a similar situation. We surrender our wills to yours and call forth your own will in this entire situation.
Amen
