If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
JANUARY 8, 2011...........from Florence's Daddy...
Evening all We've been on a roller coaster the last couple of days. Florence wasn't gaining weight, low hemoglobin levels, and liver function problems. We had great doctors that did a quick fix on the hemoglobin and gave her shots for her liver. The brest milk is being fortified to raise the calorie count to put the weight on Florence. I can't imagine A's breast milk is too low in calories. Anyway we had thought that Florence would had been home already, but the doctors had to get some things worked out and they did. Needless to say it's been a rough couple of days waiting on results of test and trying to figure the liver and weight things out. To say that the last couple of says have been anything less than great is an understatement, but today we had an amazing day. SHE'S HOME!!
SHES HOME!!!
I know that it all happens for a reason and so many lessons have been learned and taught to A and I. I know that I have a deeper appreciation for my daughters, our health, and my faith. A and I are so excited to have Florence home. We'd love to have everyone come and see her. But her immune system is weak, her lungs are vulnerable, and RSV season is upon us.... she's basically been in a bubble. So not to be rude but please give us a call before you head over. We don't want to be difficult, but we have to protect her until her immune system gets built up. Were asking for a week please.
For all the prayers, calls, food, presents, and kind words....we can not thank you enough. We know it's not totally over with her health, but we are so much further along than we thought we'd be just a week ago. We are so blessed; we had great news and remarkable results. Makes me sad to know how close we were to loosing her and how close we were to having such different results. There are those that aren't as fortunate as us and many many babies that aren't as blessed as ours...please keep these guys in your prayers. These little guys are our littlest miracles; please remember them.
Love and Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
She is ONE precious baby!!!!!! ;)

Thank you for the Ping, Grammy! Praising God with you!
I'm pinging you all as FR "hocndoc" has a personal prayer request for HER tiny baby....
She sent me a FRmail stating:
My niece is 23 weeks along with her third, a girl after two boys. Her water broke early Thursday, and wed like to ask for prayers for a while longer in the womb and a whole long life after birth.
Calling all mustard seed holders!
And, an update today...
Mom's at bedrest - and possibly at the hospital - until delivery at 34 weeks or until someone gets an infection. Shes on antibiotics, and hopefully will just get very tired of being in bed. The baby girl will be 24 weeks along on Tuesday. Every day in the womb is a blessing.(Use original container!)
So....Logan's Prayer Warriors...please, please pray for a dear lady who's been praying for all of our requests, all along...Thanks!
Prayers for this baby to stay where she belongs for at least 8 more weeks. :)
Prayers for this young mother’s and that her tiny one will wait a bit before being brought into the world.
