A Prayer Thread for LBGA

A wonderfully devoted FReeper, LBGA, is in need of FReeper prayers. I spoke with her sister last evening and with LBGA, herself, this morning, and things are not looking good.

When first diagnosed with cancer last year, LBGA wished to keep her condition a secret. She fought her affliction with admirable strength and candor. She really felt she had it beaten this past March when .45MAN and I had the pleasure of attending two pro-America/Support the Troops rallies with her - one in Milledgeville, GA and the other in Atlanta. She fell ill again shortly after the Atlanta rally and began her uphill battle against this malicious enemy once again.

LBGA has since been told she is "terminal." She has accepted this pronouncement with the grace and dignity that only LBGA could exhibit. Those of you that know her will understand what I am trying to describe. LBGA is a remarkably strong, talented and witty person who is a role model that I lovingly look up to.

LBGA gave me permission to go public with her illness and ask for FReeper prayers to lift her up to God. We know the power of FReeper prayer. It has worked miracles in the past and we now pray for another miracle for our FReeper FRiend, LBGA.

Please keep her son Tyler and daughter Teale in your prayers.

Dear Merciful Father,
We come to You today to ask a favor on behalf of our friend LBGA. We ask You to please allow her complete healing of her cancer so that we, her friends and her family, may have her with us longer. We ask, too, that her son and daughter find strength and comfort in Your loving arms as they carry their trmendous burden. If it be Your Will, Dear Lord, we ask this of You as Your humble and loving servants.

This request comes in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Want a memory, almost a miracle, I share with LBGA? (I bet it will make her smile). The "miracle" was with Lynne, her daughter, SuzanneC, my daughter, other freepers too.

What an incredible, emotional, roller coaster ride night that was! I'll never forget it! Ups and downs, hugs and tears, it was truely a night to remember, and it turned out just right, didn't it?

Newcomers here might not understand the deep concern and closeness freepers feel for each other, in good times and bad. LBGA, like "Howlin" or "yaya123", might be just anonymous screennames to them. For these people, the newcomers and lurkers, who might be reading this thread, I'd like to welcome them into LBGA's freeper family.

We can only hope we give comfort to each other, but we know freepers add meaning and richness to our own lives. I think this thread offers proof of that.

My prayers and thoughts with be with her and the family. We have a mighty God who can heal .. but there are different types of healing.

With my work as a HOSPICE chaplain I have found many cancer and AIDS patients who felt the ultimate healing was to move to the Lord's hands.

We as humans don't want to let go of our family & friends. As patients fear can consume us.

God can heal the affliction & let her stay or give her the ultimate healing & embrace her eternally..

I pray that his will be done and that our dear FReeper and the family be happy and at peace as the events proceed. All of us suffer& confront our own mortality at times like this

With my work as a HOSPICE chaplain I have found many cancer and AIDS patients who felt the ultimate healing was to move to the Lord's hands.

Oh my, the keyboard is blurring, I can't see to type... Dolly, you are a blessed person to be in a position to minister to your special charges. As some know, I have now been through this twice with my wife's mom and my brother's wife.

Once the docs have done all they reasonably can, the end of a person's earthly existence is left in the hands of The Great Physician. With the hope that comes from His Grace we can gather the strength to survive the passing of a loved one, if that be His plan. His Mercy, His Plan, are fulfilled daily. Our faith is what makes it possible to survive.

Heavenly Father, please give Lynne and her family the strength and comfort to make it through this trying time. I ask if it be Your Will, that Lynne receives her miracle, but regardless it is Your Will that reigns supreme, and it is that which Glorifies Your name. I place my request to You in the Most Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son...Amen.
